I stared at my reflection in the long rectangular mirror glued to the wall and exhaled slowly. The green, ankle-length, glittering dress clung to my body in all the right places, accentuating my curves without being overly revealing. The low-cut back design gave just enough allure, and I hoped it would earn Nathaniel's approval. After one final once-over, I slipped on the silver wedges and grabbed my purse from the bed.
A knock sounded on the door before it was pushed open, and Nathaniel appeared. He stood by the door, all gorgeous six feet of him in his red suit that hugged his muscled frame, paired with black slacks that matched his perfectly polished shoes.
"Are you ready?" He drawled, staring at me from head to toe as I rose from the bed. He might not have known it, but a glint of approval shone in his grey eyes.
"Yes." I muttered, my heart thumping louder as he looked me over.
"Turn around," He instructed, a slight rasp in his tone.
