Elliot's reaction was exactly how I'd expected it to be. Shock? Yes. Confusion? Correct. He stared at me and Nathaniel as though he hadn't seen us before.
"Raine..." He trailed off, walking into the sitting room. I noticed the lady on his arm; her heels made her taller than Elliot. Even without the heels, I knew she was a tall lady. She had a model-like figure, dressed in a tiger-skin bodycon, knee-length dress and a furry coat over her shoulder. She was brunette and was the same lady I'd seen in the photo Hailey had sent me.
Elliot cleared his throat and fully approached us. His gaze landed on me, trailed me from head to toe, and came back to my face. I showed less of a reaction or an expression. Elliot walked past us with the lady still on his arm.
"Dad." Benjamin's hand went around his son's shoulder.
"Son. It has been a while." His wife stood up too and hugged Elliot.
