The dust from the explosion was thick.
Isolde coughed. She waved her hand to clear the air. She looked at the center of the temple.
"Cain?" she whispered.
The dust settled.
Cain and Terra were still standing. Their fists were still touching.
Cain's arm was shaking. Blood dripped from his knuckles. His skin was torn.
But Terra looked worse.
CRACK.
A sound like breaking ice filled the room.
A small crack appeared on Terra's diamond fist. Then it got bigger. It spread up his arm like a spiderweb. It reached his shoulder.
Terra looked at his arm. His glowing green eyes went wide.
"Pain?" Terra asked. His voice was small. "I feel... pain?"
Cain smiled. His teeth were red with blood.
"Diamond is hard," Cain said. "But I am heavy."
Cain pushed.
SMASH.
Terra's arm shattered.
Giant pieces of diamond fell to the floor. They sparkled as they hit the dirt.
Terra stumbled back. He had no right arm. He looked at Cain with fear. For the first time in a thousand years, the Earth God was afraid.
"Stay back!" Terra shouted.
He tried to kick Cain.
Cain did not dodge. He was too heavy to dodge. He took the kick.
THUD.
Cain slid back two inches. That was all.
He grabbed Terra's leg. He dug his fingers into the diamond skin.
"My turn," Cain said.
He pulled. Terra lost his balance. The giant god fell onto one knee. The whole temple shook.
Now they were face to face.
Terra tried to use his left hand to crush Cain. Cain caught it.
"I am tired of punching," Cain said.
He leaned his head back.
The Ring of Burden glowed black. Cain focused all his weight into his forehead.
"Headbutt."
Cain slammed his head into Terra's face.
KRA-KOOM.
It was the loudest sound Isolde had ever heard.
Terra's head did not just crack. It exploded.
The back of the god's head blew out. Diamond shards flew like bullets. The giant body of the Earth God went stiff. Then, it crumbled.
The torso fell apart. The legs fell apart. In seconds, the mighty Diamond King was just a pile of expensive rocks.
Cain stood in the middle of the pile. He rubbed his forehead.
"Ow," Cain said. "That gave me a headache."
A green light floated out of the rubble. It was the soul of the Earth Divinity.
Cain opened his shadow. The darkness swallowed the light.
[Target Eliminated: Second Divinity Terra.]
[Inventory Upgrade: Gaia's Skin.]
[Effect: User can turn skin as hard as diamond for 5 seconds. Cooldown: 1 minute.]
Cain looked at the notification.
"Cool," Cain said. "Now I won't get paper cuts."
He sat down on a large piece of diamond. He breathed heavy. He was tired. Using the 100x weight was dangerous.
Isolde ran over to him. She looked at his bleeding hand.
"You are hurt," she said. She started to cast a healing spell.
"I'm fine," Cain said. He looked at the pile of diamonds. "We are rich, Princess."
He picked up a diamond the size of a football. He tossed it to her.
"For your retirement fund."
Isolde caught it. It was heavy.
"Two down," Isolde whispered. "Only one left."
Cain stood up. He looked West. He smelled the air. It smelled like salt.
"The Ocean," Cain said. "Luna."
"The Water Kingdom is underwater," Isolde said. "We can't breathe there."
Cain cracked his neck.
"Then we will drink it," Cain said. "Let's go to the beach."
