Chapter 27 - Chapter 26 Confusing

They brewed two jars of Moutai, each with entirely different intentions behind them.

Naxue was drinking less water now, and she could move around on her own again.

Chuanfeng and Tsunade were both carried back to their rooms by the servants.

Almost all of Shuo Mao's weight was pressing down on Naxue as the two of them staggered back to their room.

He even leaned closer to his wife, wearing a mysterious expression, whispering something right into her ear.

"I've discovered a secret."

"Kawakaze wants to be Hokage."

"And now I've handed that over to Tsunade."

After he finished speaking, he waited expectantly to see Naxue's shocked face.

Unexpectedly, she didn't seem to find it surprising at all. She didn't think her brother-in-law wanted to become Hokage; rather, she thought it was far more believable that he was helping Tsunade take that position.

Have you ever seen a Hokage who just wants to pet dogs?

Naxue ignored her husband's drunken nonsense. She supported him and continued walking toward the room. They definitely weren't going to "create humans" tonight—doing it now might even lower the child's intelligence.

Nothing happened that night, and morning came.

Tsunade woke up in the guest room, looking at the unfamiliar furniture. This wasn't her room.

She reacted instantly and looked toward the bed again. Fortunately, she was the only one in it.

Her clothes were neatly placed; nothing inappropriate had happened.

She got up and headed out, coincidentally bumping into Chuanfeng, who was drying his hair with a towel.

He was shirtless, his eight-pack abs clearly defined, his short silver hair still damp.

There was a faint smell of soap on him.

"Good morning, Kawakaze-kun."

"Morning. I was just coming to check if you were awake.""Go wash up—my sister-in-law prepared clothes for you."

Chuanfeng took the towel off his head and gave it a shake.

Tsunade lowered her head and walked past—only to realize she forgot to ask where the bathroom was.

"Go straight, then turn right. It's right there," Chuanfeng called out behind her.

"Okay."

Tsunade's figure had already disappeared from his sight, leaving only her "OK" echoing in his ears.

After washing up, Tsunade returned to the dining room wearing a purple qipao.

Chuanfeng's eyes widened—he hadn't expected his sister-in-law to pick out something that beautiful.

The qipao made Tsunade's figure even more stunning; her curves were impossible to ignore.

Tsunade rolled her eyes at him and sat down next to him.

"Wearing this to a construction site is… inappropriate."

Chuanfeng took a sip of congee. The outfit was gorgeous, but definitely not fit for surveillance work.

"I still have my combat outfit. I'll have Tsunade help me change into it later,"Naxue said just in time, saving Tsunade the trouble of going home to switch clothes.

During breakfast, Kawakaze's eyes were practically glued to Tsunade.

In the end, Tsunade got so uncomfortable under his gaze that she hurriedly finished her meal and dragged Naxue away to help her change.

"You're too young. You're ruining the reputation of our Hatake clan."

Like a monk entering deep meditation, Shuo Mao began scolding his son:"Has this useless boy never seen a woman before?""Do you know who that is? That's Tsunade wearing a qipao!"

Chuanfeng was busy dipping his fried dough stick into the congee. He had nothing in common with this old man at the moment.

After breakfast, the four of them—and the dog—arrived at the two large neighboring trees to watch them again.

The construction crew had assembled completely.Whether it was due to the importance of the project or Tsunade's intimidating presence, no one was slacking off today.

After two hours of watching, something finally stirred.

"Someone's coming."

Naxue and Chuanfeng spoke at the same time—one relying on herself, the other relying on the dog.

At this moment, no one else had appeared yet, so Tsunade and Shuo Mao didn't believe it.

They stared at the construction team.

Soon, a group of three emerged and began negotiating with the workers.

"They're from the Uchiha clan," Tsunade said after spotting the family crest on their shoulders.

"As expected. The Uchiha clan has stepped in too,"Chuanfeng said, not surprised at all. He had guessed it the moment he saw the approval documents.

They continued watching. They could see everything clearly except for the sound.

When the three Uchiha reached the site, the only ninja among the workers—a dark-skinned man—walked forward to greet them.

"What can I do for the three elites of the Uchiha clan?"

"What are you doing here?"

The Uchiha leader wore a contemptuous expression.A ninja who could only work construction—was he even still a ninja?

"We were hired by Lady Tsunade to survey the terrain. Construction on the hospital will begin soon."

The dark-skinned man was telling the truth. He couldn't afford to offend the Uchiha.

"I see. This place is close to our clan's security division. We saw movement and came to take a look."

"You may continue. We're leaving."

The leader waved his hand, and the three departed.

The dark-skinned man was confused. Was that really it?If he couldn't figure it out, then forget it—back to surveying.

"What is Uchiha trying to do?"Chuanfeng frowned. Things were starting to get out of control.

"With the security division this close, of course they'd come check it out,"Shuo Mao said, using all the processing power his brain had.

Naxue said nothing. She also felt something was off, but she couldn't pinpoint what.

"What do we do next?" Tsunade asked.

"I'll take a look myself. You stay here."

Kawakaze decided to investigate personally. He left a Flying Thunder God mark on a branch and vanished.

He trailed the three Uchiha silently.

They were heading back toward the clan district.Suddenly, Kawakaze sensed someone ahead—someone with a familiar chakra signature.

He stopped, observing.

The three Uchiha, strongest being a chunin, noticed nothing.

They walked toward their territory. But when they passed a large tree, a loud metallic clang—caused by the Demonic Sealing Shuriken—sent them jumping back in fear.

"Who!?"

The three retreated at once, forming a defensive formation with kunai drawn.

For all their arrogance, Uchiha still had solid skills.

"Is this all the Uchiha can do? You think you can meddle with the Senju Clan's hospital?"

The moment the voice fell, a man in a black robe and hood appeared before them, his face hidden.

Kawakaze's mind went blank.Where did this "Senju clansman" come from!?

"We didn't do anything. We just asked a few normal questions,"the Uchiha leader said, sizing up the newcomer. He didn't consider this man a threat.

"Let me give you a lesson. Stay away from our Senju hospital."

The black-robed man didn't want to waste breath. His figure blurred, and he rushed the three.

Kawakaze could instantly tell—this guy wasn't a real expert. His movements were full of openings.

Even so, the three Uchiha couldn't handle him.

They were soon knocked to the ground, each injured. The worst among them had only been hit a few times in… unfortunate locations.

"Go tell your clan head—don't even think about touching the Senju."

After saying that, the black-robed man dashed off in the opposite direction.

Kawakaze was far more interested in this fake Senju than in the Uchiha.

So he held his breath and followed.

The man looped around the forest, then entered the Uchiha district… and disappeared.

Kawakaze didn't chase further.Everything was getting more complicated—and far more intriguing.

He stood there thinking for a moment, then used Flying Thunder God to return to Tsunade.
