Chapter 30 - Chapter 29 Internal Division

Under the table, Kawaze's hand was casually rubbing his fingers together.

"I heard you've been working with Danzō?"

With that single sentence, the atmosphere instantly froze.

"Sir, what exactly do you mean by that?"

The clan head's expression had become ice-cold. In his eyes, Kawaze was here to start trouble.

"Danzō harbors ill intentions. He has always been prejudiced against the Uchiha."

"By acting the way you did this time, Clan Head, you might as well be consorting with a tiger."

Kawaze looked perfectly normal—even took another sip of tea.

"We, the Uchiha, have nothing whatsoever to do with Danzō."

"Sir, please don't spout nonsense in my home."

"Is this what you came here to say?"

"If so, then I'll have to see you out."

As he spoke, the clan head signaled Fugaku to escort the guests out.

Seeing Fugaku stand, Kawaze let out a soft laugh.

"You even went as far as killing one of your own clansmen. Truly impressive for a future clan head."

Fugaku froze, lowering the hand he had raised. Only now did he realize that everything he had done had been seen by Kawaze.

"When did I ever attack my own clan? If you continue making baseless accusations, don't blame me for being rude."

Humiliation and anger mixed in his voice, but he still refused to admit anything.

"You're not cunning enough yet. You need more experience."

After saying this, Kawaze stopped looking at Fugaku and turned his eyes toward the clan head instead.

"Danzō doesn't want me to open a hospital because I nearly killed him."

"What exactly are you plotting, Uchiha?"

Kawaze already knew the answer, but he asked anyway. What he didn't expect was how deeply the question would shake the clan head.

The clan head's expression darkened. He said nothing.

Kawaze leaned forward slightly.

"Is this about the feud between the Uchiha and the Senju?"

The clan head's offensive posture was completely crushed.

"So what?"

"According to my grandfather's orders, the Senju have already been fully integrated into the village."

"The Senju clan no longer exists. But the hatred still can't be resolved?"

Tsunade couldn't understand the Uchiha clan head's logic at all.Wasn't the whole point of the village to create peace?

"Tell me what your goal is."

The clan head still couldn't figure out what these two had come for, but their words angered him enough to make him lose his usual composure.

"You Uchiha just want to be accepted into the village and earn the honor you deserve, don't you?"

"I can help you with that."

"Or—the next Hokage can help you."

Kawaze spoke while gesturing toward Tsunade.

Instead of brightening, the clan head's expression twisted with excitement—and fear.

He could not tolerate the idea of the Senju becoming Hokage again.

If the Uchiha had never been pushed aside by the Second Hokage to form the Police Force, how would they have ended up so unpopular among the villagers?

"If you've finished speaking, you may leave now."

But in his heart, one thought echoed clearly:This hospital must never be built. It wasn't just about an old feud anymore—it was about the future of the Uchiha.

"Don't worry. Let's not talk about whether I can become Hokage or not."

"Tell me this, Uchiha—do you really think working with Danzō to sabotage the hospital benefits you?"

Tsunade's words pulled the clan head back from his spiraling thoughts.

In truth, aside from the old grudge, there was no benefit at all.

Danzō was capable of eliminating threats on his own.

"If you are willing to work with us, I can ensure that your Uchiha clan will one day integrate fully into the village."

"And even if Tsunade becomes Hokage, she will never harm the Uchiha."

"I came here sincerely."

The moment Kawaze finished speaking, he appeared beside the clan head and placed a hand on his shoulder. In an instant, the two vanished from the quiet room.

Fugaku and Tsunade stared at each other, stunned.

"He took my uncle—where?"

Fugaku drew a kunai. Even if Tsunade was standing in front of him, he was prepared to fight her if necessary.

"I'm still here. He'll bring him back."

Tsunade forced herself to remain calm. She refused to believe Kawaze would abandon her.

Fugaku's expression tightened. He didn't dare call for the clan; the news would cause an uproar.

While Tsunade calmly drank tea, Fugaku stayed tense and ready.

This Kawaze had vanished without warning—far too sudden.

About ten minutes later, Kawaze reappeared with the clan head, whose face had gone pale.

The clan head kicked over the low table in front of him—only to notice the Senju clan crest carved on the underside.

"So it really was Flying Thunder God…"

"I've agreed to your terms. See that you keep your word."

His complexion recovered slightly. He stopped Fugaku, who wanted to steady him.

"See them out."

"No need. We'll go ourselves."

"Pleasure doing business."

Once again, Kawaze used the same technique. With Tsunade at his side, he activated Flying Thunder God—and in the next moment, they were seated at the stone table in the Hatake family's training hall.

"That far?"

Tsunade no longer cared what had happened during those missing ten minutes. Kawaze's Flying Thunder God had far surpassed her understanding.

"Long-distance teleportation burns through too much chakra."

"This is almost the limit of my sensory range."

Under the moonlight, Kawaze's pale face made the performance look even more convincing.

"Why do you insist on looking cool? Couldn't you just walk back?"

Tsunade helped him toward the room.

"It's just more convenient. I won't do it again."

Leaning on Tsunade, Kawaze felt warm and comfortably soft.

"I don't believe you. I know you like showing off and acting cool."

Tsunade shot him an annoyed glare. After a moment of thought, she pulled out a special soldier pill and stuffed it into his mouth.

"Bite my hand."

As Kawaze swallowed the cold pill with a cocky grin, Tsunade pulled her hand back just in time.

Otherwise, his next punch might actually have killed her.

"You're in no condition to fight."

Kawaze leaned even closer.

"It hurts."

Tsunade grabbed his hair, and Kawaze cried out. The more he leaned forward, the more it hurt.

"Come here."

"I was wrong!"

Tsunade yanked his head upward, forcing him to look at the stars.

They returned to the room, talking and teasing each other as she helped him onto the bed.

"I should go back."

But Kawaze caught her hand.

"Do you have more to ask?"

Tsunade's hand trembled, but she didn't pull away.

"Have Advisor Koharu attend tomorrow's groundbreaking ceremony."

Kawaze quickly pushed aside the indecent thoughts that crossed his mind. If this incredibly strong woman went berserk, he doubted even the house would survive.

"I understand. Is this also part of your plan?"

Tsunade remembered the doubts in her heart and no longer felt like leaving.

She sat at the edge of the bed and started talking with him.

"How did you convince that old fox?"

"A stick and a sweet date. You never know how people will react."

"It worked."

Kawaze spoke nonsense, and Tsunade couldn't understand a word of it.

She squeezed his hand tightly. "Speak properly."

"I just took him out for a walk. Didn't harm him."

"And one more thing—after the hospital opens, you need to help train Uchiha doctors and medical-nin."

"He agreed to that quite smoothly."

Kawaze only explained briefly, but Tsunade instantly understood the full picture.

The clan head had chosen survival. Between an ancient feud and integrating into the village, he chose integration.

The two of them sat hand in hand, chatting softly.

Meanwhile, back in the meditation room, the Uchiha clan head—who had chopped the low table in half—was certain to remain awake all night.
