Kakashi moved at the speed of light. In a flash of lightning, four rogue ninja were already pierced through the chest before they could react.
"Quick! Kill the kid, or else!"
"I know! Shadow Clone Technique!"
Two puffs of white smoke erupted, and two identical clones appeared beside a rogue ninja.
"I'll cover you! Wind Style: Great Breakthrough!"
Another rogue ninja formed hand seals, took a deep breath, and then unleashed a massive whirlwind towards Kakashi.
The two men's strategy was simple: one would use ninjutsu to hold off Kakashi, while the other would use the Shadow Clone Technique to quickly kill the two children. This would give them a chance to retreat.
If they hesitated any longer, they were both dead.
However, Kakashi wasn't as easy to deal with as they thought. He'd been playing defensively before, only because he was worried about the mission targets.
Now that he had no such concerns, a mere Wind Style: Great Breakthrough wouldn't be enough to stop him.
Almost instantly, the Kakashi who had been blown away turned into a puff of white smoke and vanished. Behind the rogue ninja, Kakashi reappeared silently.
"When?"
He looked down at the blue lightning protruding from his chest, and knelt on the ground, unwilling.
The ninja who had used Shadow Clone, had already died behind him, his eyes wide with disbelief!
And the Shadow Clone he used to confuse Hatake Kakashi had no effect, dissipating with the death of its main body.
The lightning in Kakashi's hand dissipated, and he gasped for breath. Luckily, the girl had helped, or this mission would have been more complicated.
However, this girl was really skilled. Just looking at that graceful footwork, one could imagine that she had a solid foundation.
"Thank you for your help. Now, you can return the child to me."
The masked face of Hatake Kakashi revealed no expression.
