**Chapter 11: Still a Medical Genius?**
In many people's minds, the Uchiha Clan, especially the Konoha Military Police Force, was the epitome of brutal law enforcement. They were often equated with the notorious city management officials of recent years.
If you focused on key terms, words like "arrogant," "overbearing," and "tyrannical" fit the Uchiha Clan perfectly. Some fanfiction even depicted these stereotypes as reality.
This perception stemmed primarily from Orochimaru's words when he resurrected the four Hokage using Impure World Reincarnation.
But was this truly the case?
The original narrative never showed Konoha villagers harassing Sasuke. In fact, many female students at the Ninja Academy secretly admired him.
Moreover, after Uchiha Itachi's death, when Sasuke overheard Konoha ninjas discussing the matter, they were openly celebrating. In other words, they genuinely considered the Uchiha Clan their comrades.
This indirectly proves that, at least in the eyes of ordinary Konoha citizens, the Uchiha Clan didn't carry an overwhelmingly negative reputation.
Indeed, the Uchiha Clan was inherently proud, and most members conducted their duties with diligence and fairness. This very integrity, however, was precisely why they had antagonized so many other ninja clans.
As revealed in the original story, when the Uchiha Clan was relocated to the village's outskirts, the other clans stood by coldly, not a single voice raised in their defense.
Not even a sympathetic glance was offered.
For Uchiha Naraku, though an orphan, her living expenses and settlement funds had been fully provided, without any deductions.
"How dare you disrespect the Third Hokage, hic! I'll... I'll kill you all!"
Sarutobi Kuima flew into a rage, his murderous intent palpable. Clearly, the man couldn't hold his liquor.
The two Uchiha Chūnin didn't back down. After all, they had long resented the village's leadership.
Each drew their ninja tools, preparing to arrest Sarutobi Kuima. But even drunk, Kuima remained a seasoned Jōnin.
With a swift body flicker technique, he appeared behind one of the Uchiha Chūnin, raising a kunai to stab the man's nape without hesitation.
Fortunately, Uchiha Shisui moved even faster, intercepting Kuima's arm in mid-strike.
His crimson three-tomoe Sharingan glared at Kuima as he demanded:
"What? You intend to murder a fellow villager in broad daylight, in front of everyone?"
The sight of those icy Sharingan eyes sent a chill down Sarutobi Kuima's spine. How could he not have heard of Shisui of the Body Flicker?
A cold sweat broke out, sobering him up considerably. He finally realized he had nearly committed a grave mistake.
"I... I sincerely apologize. I lost my temper when I heard them insulting the Third Hokage and struck a bit too hard. But I never intended to harm my comrades."
After all, no irreversible damage had been done. He could say whatever he wanted, right?
Seeing Shisui intervene, the two Uchiha ninjas felt reassured. They moved forward together to surround Sarutobi Kuima.
But Shisui didn't immediately attack. Instead, he asked, "What exactly happened here?"
The two Uchiha ninjas replied respectfully:
"This man got drunk and started causing trouble. He knocked over the old woman's stall and pushed her to the ground. She's still unconscious."
"You're both lying! That old woman was selling fake goods! I just gave her a light push, and she collapsed. She's definitely trying to scam me! You blind, useless ninjas!"
As they argued, a man suddenly rushed forward, throwing himself over the old woman's body and shouting:
"Someone help my mother! Please, she's dying!"
Looking at the pale, barely breathing old woman, no further explanation was needed. The truth was clear for all to see.
Uchiha Shisui swiftly subdued Sarutobi Kuima. Realizing he was no match, Kuima didn't resist, but instead shouted:
"You'll pay for this! I'm reporting you to the Third Hokage! You Uchiha lunatics! Just wait and see!"
Two Uchiha ninjas instantly moved forward, bound Kuima, and dragged the cursing, struggling man away.
"We've already notified Konoha Hospital," Shisui said, approaching the man who had collapsed to the ground. "They've dispatched a Medical Ninja."
"But... but my mother can't wait that long! Her heart is weak! What can we do? Does anyone know Medical Ninjutsu? Please, save her!"
Uchiha Naraku glanced around, but no one responded.
*Maybe this is my chance to test my abilities,* she thought.
While few in the Uchiha Clan practiced Medical Ninjutsu, it wasn't unheard of. If she acted convincingly enough, she might be able to pull it off.
With this in mind, Naraku stepped forward and addressed the man:
"I've studied Medical Ninjutsu. Can I try?"
"You're too young to meddle! This isn't some ninja game. Go play somewhere else."
Naraku: ...
*Fine.*
Putting myself in his shoes, I doubt Uchiha Naraku would easily believe a six or seven-year-old girl could save someone.
*I'm not even mad, damn it.*
But this incident teaches us a valuable lesson: don't be afraid to try.
What if trying leads to that aloof goddess ending up in your bed?
Ahem... I mean, if you have a dream, you should bravely pursue it. Nothing more to it than that.
"Is there anyone here? Does anyone know Medical Ninjutsu?"
The man wept, watching his mother's life slip away.
But the crowd below consisted of ordinary Konoha citizens. With the war raging, most Medical Ninja were stationed at the front lines or Konoha Hospital. What were the chances of finding one just wandering nearby?
"...Hey, kid, why don't you give it a shot?"
The man was desperate. His mother couldn't possibly wait for a Medical Ninja to arrive.
He could only pitifully turn to Uchiha Naraku again.
Uchiha Naraku rolled her eyes silently. *Didn't you just tell me to go play somewhere else?*
Despite her thoughts, she didn't refuse.
She quickly stepped forward, went through the motions of forming a hand seal, and then acted as if she was struggling.
After a few seconds, feeling she had performed enough, a vibrant green light finally emanated from her hands.
Naraku carefully placed her hands on the old woman's body, and the condensed water energy rapidly surged into her.
Shisui didn't interfere, simply observing quietly. He could tell the girl's Medical Ninjutsu seemed very rudimentary, and though he himself didn't understand such techniques, his Sharingan's extraordinary perception made it clear the old woman's condition was critical.
*Naraku probably can't save her,* he sighed inwardly. *But what's the harm in trying?*
Just as Shisui shook his head and sighed, Uchiha Itachi arrived beside him.
"Shisui-nii, was the old woman injured by that Sarutobi Clan ninja?"
Itachi watched Naraku busily attending to the patient, genuinely surprised. He hadn't realized she knew Medical Ninjutsu, a rare skill within the Uchiha Clan.
*Naraku is truly remarkable,* he thought. *As an Uchiha ninja, she's not only skilled in taijutsu but also proficient in Medical Ninjutsu. Wait... is she even really an Uchiha?*
"Probably not," Shisui replied, overhearing his thoughts. "Her constitution seems naturally weak, making her condition difficult to treat. Still, Naraku is such a kind-hearted girl."
As the two discussed, onlookers nearby were also observing the scene, though most remained skeptical of Naraku's chances.
Suddenly, the elderly man's deathly pale complexion began to regain a faint flush. Though still unconscious, even the onlookers could see his condition was genuinely improving!
Shisui, standing nearby, watched in astonishment.
*She actually healed him! Does this girl possess such extraordinary medical talent? It's a pity her combat prowess is even greater. As an Uchiha, there's no need for her to pursue the path of a Medical Ninja.*
*What a waste.*
