As soon as Uchiha Naraku closed the peeling paint of his dilapidated front door, he quickly stripped off his drenched clothes.
Barefoot, he padded into the bathroom.
The showerhead sprayed steaming water continuously.
Within moments, the entire bathroom filled with translucent steam, obscuring Naraku's pale, delicate body from view.
The warm water washed over him, rapidly dispelling the icy chill. A tingling sensation surged through his body, making Naraku feel like he was ascending to bliss.
"Ah, this feels amazing," he sighed. "If only I had a bathtub..."
But enjoyment would have to wait. There were more pressing matters at hand.
"System, System! Hurry up and arrange a lottery draw for me!"
Naraku savored a moment of peace while calling upon the System to initiate a lottery draw.
To his surprise, a full minute passed without any response from the System.
"System? System? What's wrong? Did you crash?"
*No way...* Naraku felt a pang of panic. If the System malfunctioned, his own demise couldn't be far behind.
Hm? Hm? Is someone calling upon this System?
Hearing the System's reply, Naraku finally breathed a sigh of relief. Though the System was unreliable, at least its rewards were genuine.
"I'm telling you to draw a card for me! What were you doing?"
Ah? I wasn't peeking at your naked body, you know? Don't slander this System.
"...You just admitted it yourself, didn't you?"
Naraku clutched his vital parts.
"Hurry up and draw a card for me, you bastard! Get me Itachi's Ninjutsu!"
Understood. Initiating the card draw system now.
The familiar starry sky reappeared. As a star plummeted, a brilliant golden light erupted.
