Chapter 19: The Marvel of Psychokinesis

After flying for a while, Luo Han and Cole returned to the island. They didn't dare fly too far—they might get lost.

Once back, Luo Han suddenly staggered. In the excitement of flying, he'd forgotten the state of his body.

He was starving! He needed a massive amount of energy to recover!

"Cole! I'm heading to ask your dad for a Rainbowfish—I'm way too hungry!" Without waiting for a response, Luo Han shot straight down to the first level of the island.

Uncle Witt happened to be there.

"Uncle Witt, I'm starving. I need a Rainbowfish to replenish my energy," Luo Han said urgently.

"Come here. There are a few right here—let me prepare one for you." Uncle Witt walked over to the long table.

Moments later, after he'd finished, Luo Han immediately devoured it ravenously. After swallowing the fish, his body quickly returned to normal, like an inflating balloon.

This time, the energy depletion had been truly extreme. Normally, he couldn't even finish one whole Rainbowfish.

"Congratulations, little Luo Han. You've finally done justice to your Devil Fruit," Uncle Witt said, clearly having seen what had happened in the sky.

Hehe! Luo Han grinned sheepishly. Yes, he'd finally lived up to everyone's expectations.

"All right. Head back now," Uncle Witt said with a smile.

After saying goodbye to everyone—and receiving their cheers—Luo Han gently flew back to his ninth-level home.

There was someone there he most wanted to share this with.

As he flew home, he saw Granny Mo busy preparing lunch.

He paused, overwhelmed by a sense of warmth and peace. Having grown up without parents and maturing early, Luo Han had always felt lonely.

But Granny Mo's kindness had carried him through those early, fearful years in this harsh world.

She gave him a sense of true home.

In that moment, Luo Han calmed completely. He quietly walked over.

"Grandma, I'm back."

Granny Mo turned around in surprise, then smiled. "Xiao Han, back so soon?"

"Grandma, I did it. I finally manifested my psychokinesis." Luo Han smiled as he gently took the stone pot from her hands.

"Really? That's wonderful, Xiao Han!"

She didn't say much, but her tone was genuine—she was truly happy for him.

Then, life returned to normal. No grand celebrations, no overwhelming emotion. Just simple peace—that was the truest form of life.

Though he wasn't hungry after eating the Rainbowfish, Luo Han still sat and had lunch with Granny Mo.

Afterward, he went alone to the island summit.

Only now could he take the time to fully absorb what he had gained. This breakthrough had given him the qualifications to stand at the top of the world.

He discovered that using psychokinesis didn't seem to drain physical energy—so long as it didn't exceed a certain limit.

That limit was determined by the size of the channel connecting his mind to the seed world. The wider the channel, the larger the range his psychokinesis could affect.

Which meant he could keep using it until his body gave out completely from natural fatigue.

Strangely, after the initial, extremely taxing moment of manifesting psychokinesis via the Mind Fruit, it no longer seemed connected to the fruit's ability at all.

Using psychokinesis now didn't consume physical energy. As long as he didn't faint and could still think—he could activate it.

Feeling the psychokinetic force wrapping around his entire body...

Luo Han decided to run an experiment: could psychokinesis block out the "aura" of the sea?

If so, then he could wrap himself completely and move freely in the ocean—eliminating the Devil Fruit's most dangerous weakness.

He flew down to the first level and found Uncle Witt, explaining his idea.

"You're sure about this?" Uncle Witt asked, uncertain.

"I'm sure. I need to know. This could be important for my future," Luo Han replied firmly. "You've always said Devil Fruit users must avoid the sea."

Uncle Witt looked into Luo Han's determined eyes—and smiled.

"Alright! Go ahead. If anything goes wrong, I'll dive in and get you myself."

Then Luo Han enveloped himself in psychokinesis and dove into the lake.

Splash! He shot into the water like an arrow.

Once submerged, he felt… nothing unusual!

It was the same as when he flew wrapped in psychokinesis—he could still sense the energy blending with his body, but any external stimulation was completely blocked out.

Like a fish, he moved effortlessly underwater. He could even manipulate the surrounding water using psychokinesis like shaping clay.

Hmm… Water Style: Water Dragon Bullet Technique, anyone?

Uncle Witt watched Luo Han darting through the water like a fish and slowly relaxed.

After a while, Luo Han surfaced and climbed out.

He quickly said goodbye and ran to find Cole. If Cole could also shield himself this way, they could explore the sea together.

Then both of them would truly be creatures of sea, land, and sky.

He found Cole—still at home, eating.

"Cole, you done? I'm taking you for a swim. What kind of kun doesn't swim?" Luo Han teased.

Cole looked puzzled. Swim? But didn't Dad say Devil Fruit users can't touch the sea?

"Don't worry. I've already tested it. With psychokinesis wrapped around your body, you can block the sea's aura and swim freely," Luo Han explained.

"Really?" Cole still looked doubtful, but he trusted Luo Han.

The two of them flew out to the shallow seas just beyond the island—about a meter deep.

Looking at the water below…

Luo Han figured he'd test it again, just to be sure. The lake water had been desalinated—actual seawater might be different.

He slowly dipped his hand into the water.

His eyes lit up. Same feeling! Just like before.

Splash! Luo Han jumped in completely.

Same as in the lake. No adverse effects.

"Han-ge! Are you okay?" Cole called nervously.

"I'm fine! I've already wrapped you in psychokinesis. You can try going in."

Luo Han stood waist-deep in the sea.

"Alright… but if anything goes wrong, you'd better pull me out!" Cole still looked unsure.

"Don't worry. Just jump in!"

Luo Han tugged Cole gently into the water—and he was fine.

Perfect, Luo Han thought.

"Han-ge! It really feels like I'm wearing a suit—like the seawater can't get through!"

Cole giggled with glee—like a 300-kilo kid. Actually, he probably weighed way more than that now.

Luo Han watched him splashing joyfully and felt deeply moved.

Back when he'd arrived in this world, Cole's overwhelming talent had left him feeling helpless—like he'd never leave this island.

But now, he could stand tall. He was ready to face the world beyond.

All that was left…

Was to fill in one last gap.

Then he could truly go toe-to-toe with the greatest this world had to offer.
