As he watched Ruby leave, Lucas became more intrigued about this girl. He himself didn't know what was wrong with him, but after thier steamy encounter, he felt a strong sense of protectiveness towards this girl. He wanted to protect her with all he had, make her smile, make her feel safe and so many more. He hadn't felt like this before in his life. Yeah he had always been a playboy but, he did it for fun and never took the girls serious. But with this lady around, he felt all sort of emotions he never knew he had. Then suddenly he laughed at a thought
" I'm in love....hahaha "
He couldn't believe it but everything was clear. Ha, love at first sight. He of all people has fallen in love. No matter what happens, that lady would be his. As he was lost in his fantasy, a phone call brought him back to reality. He frowned a bit but after seeing the caller ID, his expression changed into that of playfulness again. He answered the call and heard a stern feminine voice
" Lucas where the fuck you "
He answered nonchalantly
" Having fun "
The person at the other end snapped furiously
" Better stop that damn fun and get your ass here right now if you care about your fucking reputation "
Lucas in turn, questioned her with a smirk plastered on his face
" And what if I don't care "
The lady warned
" L.u.c.a.s "
Lucas gave in and said
" Fine, fine I'm on my way "
Then he ended the call. Lucas sighed helplessly. He now had another problem to deal with. Gosh, if it had been anyone who had talked to him like that, that person would have been buried six feet by now but what could he do to her. This was his sister, his one and only sister. Before he even thought of returning, he rather took out his phone and made a call. Once the call was connected, he said
'" Check the surveillance photage and find out about the woman I came with "
The reply from the other end was short
' Yes sir "
Then he ended the call. Lucas was in a good mood, he couldn't wait to find out more about this girl. He doesn't even know her name.
Lucas had finished dressing up and was about to leave the suite when his phone started ringing. He glanced at the caller ID and smiled in satisfaction as he answered the call. Then he asked straightforward
" What's her name "
The person answered
" Boss, I'm sorry to report this but the surveillance camera in the hotel has been having some file system corruption. Unfortunately it has affected today's footages. We can't recover them. "
Lucas frowned in deep thought. This hotel was one of the best hotels in the world. Suddenly having a file system corruption was wierd and simultaneously understandable. It was a normal accident though but Lucas felt something was off. He called his surbodinate again. He was about to tell him to dig deeper info the situation when he suddenly changed his mind and said
" Get me a forensic artist. I will schedule the date and time"
The surbodinate was a bit stunned bur complied
" Sure boss "
After the call, Lucas smirked triumphantly,
who cares about photage. He remembered her face clearly. There was nothing stopping him from finding this lady. Now he had to go and meet his sister. But again he would never have thought that the same lady was the one causing troubles with the surveillance footage.

After Ruby had gotten out of the room, she carefully made her way to the exits. She was about to take a cub but decided against it. She wanted to walk and clear her mind a bit. Oh how she suddenly miss Uncle Gary. He was the first person who brought warmth and light in her miserable life. She would never forget him. As for what happened years ago, she had already investigated. She couldn't understand at first why her Uncle Gary hadn't answered her calls that day so as she grew, she investigated, and the reason set her mind at ease.
Sometimes, just out off the blue, she would visit him secretly. She would stand at a far distance as she watched the middle age but still handsome uncle of hers doing his duty. Most of the time, she wanted run to him and hug him and act childish again but she held back. Why? Because she was ashamed, she was ashamed of herself. She feared her uncle might reject her because of what she had become. A monster, a killer. It was ironic how she had once wanted to be a police but ended up being an assassin. Uncle Gary might hate her for what she has become and that was the very last thing she wanted. Rejection.
Then his face suddenly appeared in her mind. Lucas. This wierd guy who make wierd demanded and whom she had slept with. Again her actions earlier made her cheeks flushed and it only made her hatred for Christabel increase. One thing was clear, she was not done with them
" screech...."
As she was lost in thought, a famaliar black van stopped in front of her with a loud screeching sound. The door opened and Jasper got down with anxious expression. He quickly scanned her from head to toe and cursed under his breath
" Damn, why did you leave the bar in that situation. Where did you go, are you ok"
Ruby answered
" I'm fine "
But Jasper wasn't satisfied, he asked again
" How did you manage it. Did you..... "
He didn't have the courage to say what was on his mind. Ruby on the other hand interrupted him
" I got help from someone and the person got me drugs "
Jasper was not still convinced he was about to probe further when the door of the car opened again and a masculine figure got out. He was in his middle 20's and had a black windbreaker on along with matching pant that did a terrible work in concealing his figure. Upon seeing the person, Ruby froze in the spot. Oh God, she was now dead. She shot Jasper a questioning gaze wishing she could beat the hell out of him at that instant. Why did he have to bring this person of all people. She quickly put on a smile and was about to make some excuse when the person asked in a worried expression
" Are you ok "
She smiled so broadly that her face was hurting and said
" I'm perfectly fine. You can check "
The man nodded and turned her around, inspecting her, after he was sure Ruby was fine he smiled lightly and said
" Good "
Ruby sighed thinking she had escaped trouble when the man's face turned serious suddenly. Before Ruby could react, he held her ears tightly, pulling it and said
" Ruby Deville, how many times do I have to warn you not to go those places again. It seems you love to be disciplined huh "
Ruby flinched and cried
" ouch ouch, it hurts Xavier. It wasn't my fault, we were just tempted by Jasper's offer "
She tactfully pushed the blame unto Jasper. Xavier nodded and said
" Oh Jasper has already been dealt with. As for you and Kaylee, meet me at the dojo "
Ruby eyes widened in horror,
" The dojo, oh brother please, it was a mistake, I won't repeat it look am fine I might really be disfigured after I come out of that place "
But Xavier didn't pay heed to her and went into the car. Ruby was terrified. Whenever they met at the dojo, it was intense training and Xavier can beat both she and her elder sister like they were potato sacks. Most of the time, they are hospitalised for a week before they are discharged. They have never left the dojo in one piece. Even top assassin like them are nothing in front of the almighty Xavier. Xavier was the only son of Louis Deville and the sole heir to all his business. He was terrifying and formidable but one thing was for sure he dotes on his sisters very much. Although Ruby was only adopted, she was not exempted from his love and affection. He loved both his sisters so much and that made both Ruby and Kaylee untouchable. Anyone who dares mess with them are dealt with cruelly.
But Xavier had observed that whenever these sisters if his goes out to have fun at clubs, the outcome was very bad. Because of this he had strictly warned them not to go to those places again but they always disobey him. So whenever they went he made them meet him at the dojo and disciplined them. This made them fearfully of going there.
Frankly speaking, they knew he was on a trip and that was why they followed Jasper. Now he has caught them and they were doomed.
