"I can't believe this!"
The words were barely out of her mouth when Douglas gritted his teeth in annoyance.
Pointing a finger at her nose, he began to stride toward her, yelling, "What kind of person are you? If we hadn't been here and hadn't seen how hard Maya worked to resolve this issue, we really would've believed you!"
The others felt the same way and began to jab at her.
"You barely ever talk, but when you do, you walk around spewing accusations, blaming innocent people for things you're guilty of."
"That really makes sense. You don't climb the promotional ladder without scheming. No wonder you're doing so well."
"All this time, she had us fooled into believing she was some kind of saint, not knowing she was a hypocrite."
Hearing the same words over and over again,
Douglas clenched his jaw.
This was also his problem.
She seemed so docile and harmless that he had been one of the fools who believed she was truly harmless.
