"What do you mean?" Douglas was the first to step forward.
Maria glanced at him, thinning her lips.
But before she could say anything, everyone else chipped in.
"We gave so many reasons why we think Dahlia Warren isn't the right fit for it?"
"Did you not read it?"
The man who had spoken up about taking the position, scrunched up his nose and joked.
"Did you read it and perhaps thought Maya was still new and shouldn't be staff level expert?"
At this, all eyes darted toward Maria for a response.
"It doesn't have to be me. God knows I think they're are better people to assume the pistol here, so if it's becauee the company thinks I'm still new to helm the position, then I don't mind someone else doing it as long as Dahlia won't be the one." Maya child in graciously, sucking her bottom lips nervously.
