Ophelia tore open the envelope and took out the paper inside.
She stared at the results stoically, reading the words boldly written across it.
"The tested individuals are genetically consistent with an avuncular relationship."
So she hadn't imagined it. Her brother really did have kids.
But how could it be?
Finn and Rhys Warren didn't look older than six. Her brother had been out of the country for seven years, and he hadn't set foot in Maple County since then.
How could he have children and not have visited them even once?
Or… could it be that he didn't know about them?
But that was impossible.
Her brother wasn't one to sleep with random women, let alone have kids with them.
Even if he did, she knew he would try to bring her into the family, so what happened between their father and her mother wouldn't repeat itself.
On the other hand, Dahlia seemed well-off, and her kids were attending the best schools in the country.
