Dahlia drove the kids home.
The complex had sitters who were always available. Some apartments hired full-time sitters to care for their children, while others—like her—had a particular person who came by whenever needed.
As they drove into the complex, a young lady spotted them and walked toward the car.
"Anita!" Rhys shrieked excitedly when he saw her, while Finn stood beside Dahlia and waved shyly.
"Mommy, will you be leaving for work now?" Finn asked a moment later, his bright eyes lifting to hers.
She scratched her brow lightly and glanced at the time on her wristwatch.
Normally, she would be heading out. But no one had contacted her all day, and they were supposed to if they needed her help—at least, that was what the contract stated.
Since they were yet to contact her, she had no reason to return.
There was nothing more boring than staring at a blank screen all day.
So she smiled and shook her head.
