"Ow!" the thug shrieked, trying to shove the kid away.
However, despite being hit in the face, he kept biting back, giving Ophelia's security, whose gun had been snatched, the chance to retrieve it.
He then struck the thug square in the face and swept his feet off the ground, sending him crashing hard to the ground.
Dahlia felt her heart drop to the pit of her stomach when she recognized her boy and she rushed toward him anxiously. "Rhys!"
Hearing her voice, Rhys turned toward her and grinned broadly.
"Mommy!"
Dahlia stooped worriedly in front of him.
The thug had struck him on the nose when he bit too hard, and part of it seemed to have fractured.
Feeling the warm liquid trickling down his nose, Rhys raised his arm to wipe it away, but Dahlia caught his hand and gently did it herself.
"Why would you do something like that?" she asked.
He lowered his eyes hesitantly. "Because it looked like he was going to shoot you with that pistol."
