Inside the forest a silhouette was moving with an agility of a monkey and a familiarity with the surrounding like it knew every blade of grass existed this was of course our hero or villain depending on how the story goes and how we see good and bad Damien Morningstar or as it's known now Damien Pendragon he probably should release an edict in which change his name since he no longer belong to the Pendragon clan.
He moved silently in this dark 🌑 night one of his gains this last few week after training he could now move while using his sonar like ability allowing to track his surroundings on a real time basis giving him the ability to avoid ambushs the only down side is that it's a the perimeter he can scan is smaller than when he is static.
So an hour later he guided himself to where he found traces of the shadow lynx he hid a few metre away behind a tree 🌲 and facing him was a cave.
Then he stood in his place like a rock and used the sonar ability he could see what's inside he heard two hearts beats one strong and the other weaker but from his sonar he could see the cave is deep and hight intertwined.
So he cloacked himslef in the shadow element to conceal his presence as much as possible but just as he was about to start moving he detected with his sonar a big fast moving Shadow was coming from the sky dust was rattled when the big silhouette landed and after it's settled Damien could clearly see what it was.
A four metre long black wyvern with two legs and two leathery wings, unlike it's four-legged ancestors the dragons featuring a barbed tail and a leaner, more serpent-like body with poison at its end. sharp teeth that could be venomous depending en the wyvern type, making them dangerous hunters They are typically a formidable aerial predators as for why it's landed instead of hunting while flying it probably had something with it's chosen prey.
with hint of red an orange on its wing who were shaped like a bat it was one of the many creatures in this world who had dragon blood in it's Vains but unlike creature like kobolds it's concentration was higher.
He probably he come here also to hunt the shadow lynx as for spirit creature feasting on other of the same level helps them to advance quickly while Damien was trying to hide himself as much as possible the wyvern roared it was hoarse one making the entire immediate surrounding shake alarming every creature nearby to stay away as for the lynx it probably telling them come out and face their doom.
Soon two feline like silhouette were emerging from the entrance of the cave one bigger than other probably the male it was dark like the previous one he has already killed only much larger as for the seconde it wasn't a shadow lynx it looked more like a tiger 🐯 with black straps but what made stand out it's colour it was something like grey blueish it gave a different like about it and purple glowing eyes.
And they both roared at wyvern like they practiced before in their eyes Damien could see a hint of deep hatred an animosity toward their enemy it's safe to assume this is their first time meeting.
The first to attack were the couple the black moved clock way and the tiger one in the opposite direction but what puzzled Damien is that the wyvern concentrated only on the lynx then he bounced to attack trying to bite him.
But the lynx was more agile he dodged masterfully like it's nothing they continued like this for few minutes while the wyvern couldn't land a hit his attacks teared down the nearby trees thus making it difficult for the couple to move.
Then it came the lynx used his ability and disappeared it looked like darkness eat it but Damien knew it just hid in the existing shadows taking advantage of this slight change in tactics like it was waiting for it the wyvern concentrated it's attacks one the tiger 🐅 trying to bite or tear him with his barbed tail while the lynx could dodge this attacks could dodge this easily it was the difficult for tiger as it was less agile and with the destroyed landscap it made hard for it to escape the onslaught soon small wounds started to appear on it.
Few minutes passed they both were wounded but the tiger was more injured and what made hard is that some of the attacks that landed were coated in poison so it's movement were becoming sluggish.
The tiger seeing that prolonging the battle will be disadvantageous opted to use it's bloodline skill who seem to be related to ice .
So a seconde later the temperature dropped the tigre launched a devastating ice breath from its mouth towards the wyvern sensin the danger coming the wyvern tried to took flight to the sky but it's right wing was hit slowing his movement and right at that moment the lynx showed trying to bite the wyvern in its neck but a glow could be seen in the eyes of the wyvern and smile like was on his face like he was waiting for it and it came the dragon like breath but it was made of poison but unlike the tigre who was small in scale this was more a large area attack putting the lynx right in the middle of it seeing that it was no way of evading it he became more determined towards the wyvern opting for mutual destruction.
He sunk his teeth whi seem to be full of the shadow element given them more potency at same time the wyvern hits him with spiked take who was full of poison after the lynx continued for few seconds biting but the poison and the wound from the spikes took its toll on him and he dropped before the wyvern could rejoice in killing his enemy he felt different claws sinking on his back and after it a bite right at the back he tried to resist but the wounds he sustained earlier had a different idea 💡 and he dropped dead the tiger didn't stop biting until a minute later making sure he was dead.
Then it walked towards the corpse of it's companion but just it was about to morn it tentacles of shadows pierced it from the ground giving a quick dead so fast that it just didn't now how she died.
He ended swiftly out of respect of the sacrifice of the lynx since he gave a good spectacle and on more practical Mather he didn't want the blood to be wasted since some wouldn't he be able to use do to it being poisoned 🤢 and he didn't learn away to detoxify it or away to store it really need to look for a spacial ring to put in it his things two he isn't sure if he could resist the poison since it came from a dragon descendants who are at the pinnacle of life forms on universal scale .
So he sucked the blood dry from this bodies he could feel that he talent in the shadow element was getting better plus he got new ones but most importantly he could feel it in every fibre of his body that the blood is in whole new level this got him to thinking that maybe inThe futur he would have to turn to hunting creature with high level blood but that would be for later now he has a job to do skinned the wyvern as it's scales even if they're inferior to those of dragons would give him a decent protection and cut the spiked parts from the tail in order to use them to make poisoned daggers as that for him now is the best close range weapon he can get for the time being after he will raise all three of them to join his undead legion giving him a huge boost .
After he finished he went inside the cave even using he sonar ability he couldn't map the entire cave so he went where he sensed the couple of felines sitting before the attack their he found a dark flower sprouting from the ground he could feel dark element meeting from it as he didn't now have any knowledge on how to take with hurting it he will collapse the entrance of the cave so that no-one come and take it .
Then he continued walking hoping to reach the end of the cave few hours later after ups and down he found himself Infront of cryptic ancient looking door so reminiscent of those you coul see elder scroll Skyrim when venturing out.
