Chapter 33 - There is Something In the Air
She reached forward to push him back, and just as she did, he pulled away, so that she pulled her hand away from him too.
She never touched him to begin with.
"You really love meat," he said, sitting back.
Idalia nodded with a forced smile. Now that she knew why she wanted him around, she wanted to end this game as quickly as possible. She yawned, feigning her need to sleep. But Mr Lythoryn must have been able to see right through her lie, because a smirk had crossed his lips and he had asked his questions anyway.
Idalia had failed. The sting of defeat made her think of harder questions. Just this once, and she would stop.
But after one win, she wanted the next. She told herself that she would stop then. But why not make it three?
