Chapter 32 - A Special Kind of Craving
"Join you?" Mr Lythoryn's voice boomed within the room, and the raven tilted his head to the side, as if watching her with curiosity.
Sometimes, it seemed like the bird, and he shared the same mind.
"Yes," she responded, almost quickly.
What was she doing?
Why was she doing this?
Up until now, she had assessed others' actions and pondered over them. She had tried to see if they were manipulating her and how she could respond accordingly.
But now, her own actions were the ones she had to ponder on?
What was she doing?
"I don't think she means it, Mr Lythoryn." Louie jumped in, his hand on her shoulder as he gently nudged Idalia back, while he walked in front of her. He stood there, like a shield from the consequences that she had sought for herself. "You don't mean it, right, Julie?"
Something seemed to have shifted in Mr Lythoryn's demeanour, and Idalia was starting to consider the best way to retract her offer.
