The Viper
The last conversation I had with Rocco got my heart beating so hard. I can't even seem to place my hand on who is causing this chaos.
"What is wrong, darling?" My mother asked, walking up to me.
"Nothing, Mom. I have everything under control."
"You know, you can't lie to me. You're disturbed and I listened to your conversation with that man yesterday."
I heaved a sigh in exasperation. "You shouldn't do that, Mom. What if you were caught? It would look like I don't have control over my house."
"I'm your mother, not a nobody under your care."
"I am the head of this house, and that's it. You may be my mother but this house is mine."
"You dare speak to me in that manner? What is wrong with you?"
I choked darkly and stood up from my seat. She took a step back and fear was written on her face.
"You left me on the streets to fend for myself while you continued your whoring on the streets. I had to figure my way out without you."
