Chapter 39 - "Doom of Planet Vegeta"

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Under normal circumstances, Frieza would've been furious.

After all, nothing angered him more than his subordinates returning after failing their mission.

But this time... it was different. This little "incident" actually amused him.

Especially that furious face glaring back at him—it stirred something inside him, a strange thrill he couldn't quite explain.

"So among these Saiyan monkeys, there are a few surprises after all. Interesting. Send in the fighters—I want to see how this one performs,"Frieza ordered, his tone laced with mockery.

"Yes, Lord Frieza!""At once, Lord Frieza!"

Dodoria and Zarbon bowed and immediately relayed the command.

Moments later, the battle pods opened, and Frieza's elite troops—warriors boasting power levels in the thousands—swarmed toward Bardock like a tidal wave.

What followed defied everything they thought they knew.It shocked Zarbon and Dodoria… and even made Frieza's eyes gleam with excitement.

Who could have imagined that a low-class Saiyan warrior would unleash such overwhelming power?

The sheer energy radiating from Bardock dwarfed that of King Vegeta and all those so-called "elite" soldiers combined.

Hundreds of elite troops—each with power levels around ten thousand—rushed him together…And Bardock tore through them as if they were nothing.

Zarbon and Dodoria stared, dumbfounded. Was this really one of those weakling Saiyans they'd always looked down on?

Dodoria, in particular, couldn't believe it.Not long ago, on Planet Meat, this same man had been a toy—something to crush for fun. Now… Bardock's power was beyond his own.

"Zarbon," Frieza murmured, a hint of curiosity flickering across his expression, "open the hatch. I think I'd like to meet this Saiyan myself."

"Understood." Zarbon quickly nodded and led Frieza toward the upper deck.

Dodoria stood trembling at the side, too afraid to utter a sound.

Outside the ship

Bardock charged forward with everything he had, tearing through space.Within moments, he was already within sight of Frieza's flagship.

Even out here, beyond the planet's atmosphere, he could still move freely—his own energy shielding him from the vacuum of space.

Once a warrior's power surpassed a few thousand, surviving briefly in open space wasn't difficult.

"Frieza!! Get out here and face me!!!"

His voice thundered through the void, carried by raw ki. Madness burned in his eyes.Even as Frieza's soldiers surrounded him, trying to hold him down, Bardock refused to yield.

Then the hatch atop the flagship opened.

Frieza slowly appeared, seated in his floating pod.At that instant, every soldier froze. No one dared move. All eyes turned to the Emperor of the Universe.

Frieza's expression was playful, his gaze sharp, his presence dripping with malice.

"Saiyan," he said smoothly, "I must say, I'm impressed. Not even your so-called king or those proud elites come close to your power."It's a pity, really. If you weren't one of those filthy Saiyans, I might have welcomed you into my ranks."

The words sounded almost flattering—until you heard the contempt behind them.To Frieza, every Saiyan was vermin. And the more potential one showed, the more dangerous they became.

Which meant… the more reason to erase them.

"Why?! We've followed your orders! We've conquered planet after planet in your name! Why wipe us out?!"Bardock roared, fury tearing through his voice.

The surrounding soldiers gasped. No one—no one—had ever spoken to Lord Frieza like that.

"You Saiyans," Frieza said coldly, "have simply grown too unruly."

And with that, he raised one slender finger.

A spark of blood-red light flared at its tip—small as a grain of rice, yet pulsing with murderous energy.

"Damn you!! I'll never forgive you!!!"

Rage exploded inside Bardock, his power surging even higher. It was as if he'd brushed against some unseen barrier… maybe even close to breaking through it.

A brilliant white glow gathered in his palm—his ki burning so fiercely it distorted the space around him.

"Everything will change… Planet Vegeta's fate… my fate… the fate of all Saiyans!!!"

He hurled the energy sphere with all his strength, screaming as it soared toward Frieza.

Frieza's grin widened.

"Ohohohoho! Such foolish words."

The tiny red orb at his fingertip began to swell—ten meters, a hundred, a thousand—until it completely devoured Bardock's attack. Its power skyrocketed with terrifying speed.

"W–What?!" Bardock's eyes went wide. His last hope shattered before him.

With a flick of Frieza's finger, the massive Death Ball shot downward.

It carved through everything in its path, vaporizing dozens of his own troops who couldn't flee in time.

Before Bardock loomed a colossal sphere of death.Behind him—Planet Vegeta.

There was nowhere left to run.

"HAAAAAAAH!!!"

Bardock fired one last desperate blast, a blazing blue wave of energy meeting the Death Ball head-on.But it was useless. The gap in power was too great.

His attack disintegrated. And then—so did he.

The energy engulfed him completely, searing his body, tearing him apart atom by atom.Death wrapped around him.

And then, once again—visions of the future filled his mind.Scenes flashing before him—his son, Kakarot… his people's destiny.

He should have faded into darkness. But somehow, his mind remained clear.

"The future… it's up to you now… Kakarot… Harry!!!"

His final scream echoed into the void—heard by no one but himself.

A blinding explosion split the skies. The Death Ball pierced through Planet Vegeta's atmosphere, a blazing comet of destruction.

All across the planet, Saiyans looked up—some confused, some terrified—as the light of their doom descended.

And then—

BOOM!!!

In less than ten seconds, the core of Planet Vegeta was pierced.

Cracks spidered across the surface like shattered glass.Lava burst forth. The planet twisted, screamed… and then, with a final roar—

KAAA-BOOOOOM!!!

Planet Vegeta exploded into a dazzling supernova of fire and debris, scattering across the cosmos.

"Ohohohohoho! How beautiful!Zarbon, Dodoria—tell me, when have you ever seen fireworks like this?"

Frieza laughed, a sound so twisted it chilled the blood.Zarbon and Dodoria stood silently behind him, pale and trembling.

They'd seen planets destroyed before—but watching Frieza do it himself was something else entirely.

And just like that—Planet Vegeta was gone.

Erased from existence.History followed its course, just as fate had decreed.

But in that final instant—when the planet shattered—a strange, invisible force reached out.It wrapped around the burning remains of Bardock's body…

…and carried him beyond time itself.

"..."
