Chapter 26 - Battle For Peace

King Gaëlf spent the next ten minutes explaining what would be known as the battle for peace.

It turned out that the elves had long since wanted peace with the humans.

They wished for No Man's Land to return to its original state, and for the war on their borders to end.

That is why King Gaëlf sent a proposal of peace to Emperor Rose. Countless times.

The Human Emperor had refused, and refused, until finally, King Gaëlf gave him an offer that he would be foolish to turn down.

A sanctioned 5 v 5 battle between the two nations' strongest. If the humans won, then they would become rulers of the entire country of Rytora (The land in which the two empires reside)

However, if the elves won, then the country would merge together, and be ruled by a council equally consisting of the smartest politicians from both the elves and humans.

Ultimately, it would be overseen by King Gaëlf.

This agreement was heavily discouraged by King Gaëlf's council, however, he found no other way to win the war. Not to mention, this method would lead to the least casualties on either side.

As Levian watched the man explain, his admiration for him grew.

Not only was he an elegant king, but he also seemed just.

He seemed to be someone who would truly do anything for his people, and yet didn't hold a grudge towards his enemy.

The battle for peace was agreed to take place six months from now, in a temporary stadium built in No Man's Land.

"Have you decided on your three fighters?" Levian asked, curiously.

"I have many options. The elven empire has produced some of the greatest fighters in the World of Malo, however, not all of them are readily available or in a condition to fight such a crucial battle."

Then, the King's dark eyes seemed to beam through Levian's.

"True Elf Levian, what are your stats?"

...

True Elf Levian... I'll have to ask him not to call me that someday.

Levian went on to explain his current stats to the King. A lot had changed ever since he battled his two brothers.

He also explained the weapon skills and talents that his two mythical weapons possessed, as well as the description for his class "Godsmith".

King Gaëlf nodded his head, pleased with what he was hearing.

"All classes can unlock a mastery, which grants them a talent allowing them to progress even further into their system. If you awaken yours, then who knows what power you can possess..." The King explained.

Levian struggled to manage his thoughts.

I've already awakened powerful talents. Some of the strongest that the world has ever seen.

Just what would a mastery talent look like?

"But..." King Gaëlf interrupted his thought. "Unlocking your mastery talent will be no easy feat. I'm sure you have an idea as to what you must do to achieve it?"

The King was right. Levian did have an idea, or rather a feeling.

Something deep inside of him guided him towards the method to achieve his class mastery, and it wasn't an easy path to take.

"I'll have to create more mythical weapons."

The king nodded his head. "Exactly. A task that comes with great risks, considering the risk of attention from the other realms. I'm sure you're well aware of that, but have managed to somehow avoid trouble for now."

Levian knew exactly what the King spoke of.

The entities.

With each mythical weapon he created, he was visited by another entity. To unlock his mastery, he would have to take that risk.

He wondered whether he should ask the King to station knights with him so that he could create more weapons safely, and then he suddenly remembered something.

So far, neither of the entities had attacked him, or even shown signs of hostility.

In fact, one had almost mistaken him for one of them. Despite their immense presence, none of them seemed hostile.

Could bringing other people change that, and make them see me as a threat?

It was at that moment that Levian came to a decision. He stood as tall as he could as he asked the King for an offer.

"If you could give me an empty location with open space, inaccessible to others, I believe I would be able to produce enough mythical weapons to reach my mastery. Afterwards..."

"You would fight in the upcoming battle in six months?" King Gaëlf finished with a smile on his face.

Levian hesitated before answering. "If I am strong enough to be of use, then of course."

"Then it is settled." The King answered. "I will give you a room to work in, as well as a house for both you and your lady. Anything that you might need will be provided to you."

Then, the King held out his hand for Levian to take. "I look forward to having you here with us, my fellow True Elf."

---

Levian was brought back to the fifth floor, which was home to Goldtree Academy. It was a large structure made from the gold branches and green leaves.

Inside, the academy was bustling. Students of all ages were working hard, learning about the history of their world and training before going through their awakening. Some would have already awakened, and were trying to progress their systems further.

However, one of the areas of the Goldtree Academy was emptied, with guards posted outside with orders; Not to enter, and not to allow anyone else to enter, unless Levian stated otherwise.

Many of the students had heard that an important man had arrived in the city, and wished to spectate what was going on in the training grounds, yet wouldn't be allowed.

Even Diana would be denied entry if she attempted to arrive, however, she was still busy exploring Goldtree with her guides.

Levian however, stood in the large empty space located on the top floor of the academy.

His wounds had now recovered, and his life force had returned to its max.

King Gaëlf had given him everything that he wanted, with promises to speak more in the upcoming days; however, right now, his attentions lie only on his soulspace.

I'm tired... seriously tired, but I have to confirm that this will increase my goldsmith's mastery percentage.

In his soulspace, Levian had taken in two standard weapons, turning them both into legendaries.

For a change, he had made two Legendary bows, in hopes of diversifying his arsenal.

However, when he went to withdraw them, he found only one bow waiting for him.

As he summoned the weapon into his hand, the familiar words pinged in his system.

[Mythical Weapon Acquired!]

The bow in his hand was marvellous. It appeared in his hand, made from a majestic green crystal that resembled two eagles' wings. The bow itself stood almost as tall as he, and the arrows seemed to summon themselves into the drawstring, constantly ready to be fired.

Levian wanted to focus on the stats and weapon skills, but found that he had no chance.

The air around him suddenly began to change.

[AN ENTITY IS APPROACHING!]
