In a world where a power called Parka exists it flows within the human body and the more one has it the faster stronger and more resilient they become Those who wield this power are called Parka Users most of them live on an island called Parkara which spans about five million square kilometers Surrounding it are four other islands each covering more than half a million square kilometers On these islands Parka Users live side by side with ordinary humans while in the rest of the world Parka Users are extremely rare and seldom seen
Our story begins with a boy named Kazuki His father was an ordinary man with no Parka but he had been the closest friend of the strongest Parka User of his era His mother was also ordinary but as a child she discovered a Parka crystal in the forest When she touched it she was shocked and fell unconscious When she woke the crystal had vanished as if it had disappeared into thin air She thought about it many times wondering why it disappeared and how her life had changed
Years later Kazuki was born At the hospital his mother lay dying and told his husband Take care of our son make him grow strong Then she recited the Shahada saying I bear witness that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is His messenger and passed away His father wept deeply but looked at his newborn son and said You will become a hero Kazuki She had chosen his name because she loved the clear sky and the shining moon at night believing it would give her son strength and brightness that would accompany him throughout his life
During the next five years Kazuki lived without his parents and his world was full of questions about himself and Parka After his father's death an old man named Tatsu a former teacher of Parka Users took Kazuki under his wing The training started immediately and was extremely difficult requiring incredible patience and unbreakable determination Every morning Kazuki woke before dawn to train his Parka In the afternoons he practiced meditation and physical techniques taught by Tatsu over many years
Tatsu did not only teach him control of Parka but also patience endurance and perseverance Sometimes Kazuki felt exhausted or doubted himself but he remembered his mother's words and his father's smile and regained his strength After nine years of intensive training Tatsu sent him to a distant mountain where he spent a full year training endurance meditation and patience learning to integrate every part of his inner power with his body and mind
When he returned his goal was clear to join the Martial Arts School for Parka Users in Furoko City The minimum requirement for enrollment was 100 Parka units a number few could reach without years of training
Kazuki was no ordinary child At birth his power measured five units while normal children were born with only one Parka Users were surprised and told his father that Kazuki might be weak since neither of his parents were Parka Users At the same time three other children were born with 100 Parka units because both of their parents were Parka Users
Back in the present Kazuki passed the first stage of the entrance exam His power reached 362 units placing him twelfth Gathering Parka was not easy It required extreme focus and unbreakable will Every movement and breath was carefully measured and every decision could affect his strength or his standing in the exam
During the break before the second stage a boy approached him and asked his name Kazuki replied The boy said My name is Mitsu shall we be friends Kazuki happily agreed Mitsu then introduced him to a girl named Mio who was a little shy Kazuki asked why Mitsu explained that she rarely talks to boys Kazuki wondered what shy meant and they all laughed together Kazuki felt this friendship might be the start of something important in his life and perhaps the path to real strength not just in Parka but in his heart as well
Kazuki sat for a moment looking around observing the other contestants and teams feeling a competition he had never experienced before He knew this experience would test his physical and mental abilities and that he needed to stay calm and focused at all times
Suddenly the organizer announced that the break was over and the second stage was about to begin Kazuki looked at the testing field feeling both excitement and nervousness He realized that what would happen next was not just a test but an experience that would challenge everything he had learned and everything he was ready for and would put his will to the test in a way he had never experienced before
