Heading back to class Zena entered. Heading back to the lab table she cut the corpse again. This time however, she did not feel the want for blood.
'Why is it not working now. Is it because I already got a blood fragment?'
As she thought she absently started cutting. However, instead of sloppy cuts that just made a mess. The cuts skinned the creature neatly. There were no unnecessary cuts. One cut cleanly cut the hide from its head to its two tails. Within time the cuts were finished. She started to pull the skin off. With each patch she took the creature apart.
Next came the muscles. At this time the teacher started walking around the class judging the students dissections so far. Looking over he saw Zena.
"Girl, has someone trained you how to dissect an animal before." The scarred man asked.
"What do you mean. I'm just going off instinct."
"Instinct my ass. Most awakened who work at this academy couldn't make cuts like those. You make it look like you're cut open hundreds of these. So what have you learned from it?"
"Nothing" Zena stared blankly.
"Nothing?" He froze, "Like nothing at all?"
"Yes, I couldn't tell you anything from this."
'Great I have a genius who doesn't even know what they did.' With that he decided, "Here let me explained.
The muscles you cut here show that this creature was an agile one. This set shows it was weak in head on attacks. Finally, this final set with the claws it has here show that it was good at ripping. Do you understand?"
"I think so. The size and features it has can determine what it can do." Zena answered.
"Good. Now look at its ears. The way they are set you can tell it does not rely its hearing. The way the skin is set can also show weak spots like these." He pointed at the long tendons that had little skin and muscles protecting it. This is a vital weakness, if one was to cut them it would remove most of the creatures ability to do anything. Got it?"
"Yes, I understand."
"Good next time we do this I expect you to be able to do this and more." With that the man turned and walked to the next table."
After the class ended there was a short break before the general study class. They spent this time and went to the cafeteria to get a snack and rest. Resting for a little they headed to the class.
The hallway was bland. There was one class for general study. Entering the room there were three desks. Sitting they waited. After some time another person entered. The first thing the noticed was his focused grey eyes and black hair.
The man seeing the two extra people in the class was clearly shocked. However, before he could speak the teacher walked in. The man seeing her quickly sat down in the remaining seat.
"Good evening. " She turned her gaze to the two new students. "I am awakened Samantha. Welcome to the class. The two of you are Sleeper Anderson and Sleeper Zena correct?"
"Yes" Zena answered.
"Good well would you like to introduce yourselves to your classmate."
Both Anderson and Zena turned to young man next to them.
"Its nice to meet you. I'm Zena and this is my brother Anderson."
The young man stiffly responded, "I'm Ash. Its nice to meet the two of you."
He didn't say anything else. Acting as if he didn't want to talk to anyone. Seeing the three not talking the teacher sighed.
"Ok, lets start the class."
Samantha started teaching the basics. For the first hour she taught the known past of the world and the present. For the second hour she taught vocabulary, grammar, and handwriting. The third hour they worked on physics.
"Physics is probably the best thing for y'all to learn. Although in the Dream Realm the rules of our world are void in most places. However, the basic principles can be applied. This will be important to be able to predict projectiles.
Moving to the final subject. Samantha handed out packets to the three. Anderson and Zena got a packet with level zero on the top while Ash got a packet with level eight on it.
Looking at the twins Samantha informed, "To increase your math level you must take a test after completing the packet. For the class you should be able to reach level five on the math packets. After that participating in the end of class is not necessary."
Hearing this Anderson and Zena looked at Ash.
"What? I like doing math."
Turning away they worked on there own packets. Anderson worked quickly while Zena got stumped on some of the questions.
The class was one of the longest classes in the academy due to the amount of information they needed to learn.
Once they finished Anderson and Zena headed to the cafeteria. They would have talked to Ash, but he seemed to have disappeared before they could say anything to him.
Arriving for dinner they entered the cafeteria. Grabbing some food they headed to their usual table. However, unlike the rest of the day someone was sitting there. Arriving at the table, the two of them saw Ki Song sitting there.
"Hey Ki Song. Its nice to see you again. How was your day." Zena happily asked.
"Pretty good. I saw the two of your fights in the combat class. Beating awakened Orum is a great achievement. I guess you will be joining the sparing group."
"I will. I was shocked myself when I beat him. Although he was giving himself a handicap when fighting us. If he didn't I would probably have ended the same as my brother."
"Hey. I almost had him. Also unlike you I don't have a combat aspect. Hell I can't even use my aspect yet." Anderson rebuked.
"Wait you can't use your aspect?" Ki Song asked.
