The circle glowed with a dim light. At the same time he felt a hair being pulled form his head. Felling this he lost all his concentration causing the circle to collapse within his hand.
'Well that sucks'
He tried again. Once again the circle formed and once again he felt his hair being pulled. This time however the circle remained.
Breathing, he calmed down trying not to loss focus on his aspect.
'Ok its stable. Lets try to expand it.'
He focused trying to expand it to bigger than it was. Doing so the circle slowly expanded. The moment the circle reached twice the size of the original he felt another hair being pulled.
'Damnit, of course it works like that.'
Continuing he kept increasing the size. And once again the moment to reached three times the size of the original he felt another hair being pulled.
'Great it isn't even double each time, but how many times bigger it is than the original.'
With the scaling figured out he let the circle go.
'Lets try with this.'
"I Sacrifice a fingernail."
Trying again he saw the circle expand. This time the circle surrounded Anderson, who was sitting on the floor. Seeing the size, Anderson was excited. Only for the sacrifice to come into play.
"AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH, Holy Shit!" One of Anderson's fingernails was pulled from his finger. Once it was out of his finger. He saw it fade into essence just like a memory. Breathing heavily he got up.
'Its that bad for a fingernail, I will not be sacrificing anything more than that. Ok lets take a short break.'
He summoned his two memories. While they formed he pulled up the runes of the memories.
Memories: [Climbing Claws], [Captain's Pipe]
[Climbing Claws]: [A mountain hunter needs to be light on its feet. Have good grip and be ready to pounce.]
Memory Enchants: [Light Weight], [Grips], [Pounce]
'What the hell. How can I see the enchants. From all the info I have gained no one should be able to see the enchants. How can I see them.'
[Light Weight]: [Your weight is almost non.]
[Grips]: [You don't loss grip easily.]
[Pounce]: [Launching at an enemy will lead to an increase in power.]
'Well they are unexpectantly straight forward. The Spell doesn't seem to ever be straight forward so this is a welcomed surprise. Let me check my new one.'
[Captain's Pipe]: [The captain saw the corpse of his dead comrade. He had seen so many of his precious companions dead. He hated letting them go.
One day he learned that he could keep a part of them if he consumed the souls of the dead. The next time one died he ate what remained of their soul. Again and again he saw more and more die. His mind deteriorated. Slowly the day came when he was destined to die. He pulled his heart out to Sacrifice it to a dead saint. He had saved the city, but the moment he fell to the ground he saw another of his teammates die. He could do nothing. He laid there unable to move.
He wanted to move. He want to kill. He wanted to take revenge. He wanted to live.
That's when his mind broke. He lost control. The god he loved left him and he died. But that was not the end. The souls that were held within his soul fused with the fragment of his own. He revived. His soul was one of the first corrupted. Not by the [Unknown] and not by the [Unknown], but by something much more ancient. More ancient than the gods. Beings from the first sparks of the flame.
What remained of him rose to till he was one level bellow the gods that had forsaken him. He grew more and more. Consuming all that held him from his revenge. He rose to the level of the gods and daemons during the doom war. He was hated by all but one. That one being the only other one hated my all. WEAVER.
In the final battle he weakened all who fought. In turn he was cursed. Not being able to die. Not being able to live. He decayed while the gods and daemons died. Losing the power he gained he fell. Rank by rank. And yet he still lived his wish became his curse.]
'That's a lot to take in. So the captain worked for a god? That would be the only reason to want revenge. Also, consuming souls? Does it mean soul fragments? No wait that can't be. When a person dies there soul shatters and disappears. When we use a soul fragment it is absorbed into our souls becoming one. This description makes it seam like souls were kept within him and not absorbed.
How can the Spell redact things? Is it that bad that it needs to be redacted? What beings were there before the gods? Didn't they create everything? What is the first flame?
He also challenged the gods. And daemons? What are the daemons? Were they all Divine? What was the doom war? Who was Weaver and why were they also hated by all? Were they also like the captain? Was the captain I killed before or after the fight with the gods?
God why is this so confusing. I only killed a fallen demon why did it have to implicate everything. Like literally everything. Everything within this description has something to due with the divine. How important was our nightmare.
Wait the one I killed must be from before its fight with the gods. The gods were alive. The Spell implied this after the nightmare. It even said the bodies before hand came from the beast gods kingdom. Wait doesn't that mean the captain is still alive?'
Thinking this Anderson Shivered
'I can't get any answers. I hate it so much. Why give so much and yet so little.'
Thinking this he moved his gaze down to the enchants.
Memory Enchants: [Calming Mind], [Impowered Smoke], [Forsaken Blessing]
[Calming Mind]: [Your mind is a peace when smoke is in the air.]
[Impowered Smoke]: [Smoke in the air impowers you and all who follow your cause.]
[Forsaken Blessing]: [The more smoke the more the smoke gives you. Will you become addicted?]
'Well that's disappointing. I would think that for a memory with such a description it would have some incredible enchantments.
You know what, its fine they all seem good. Well, not the last one. That one sounds menacing. Like why does it have a question in its description and not a friendly question either.
