"Wrong. You humiliated someone important to me." His jaw tensed, declaring. "You cross me, and you lose more than a job."
A mocking scoff escaped Selina as her lips curved, finding his words ridiculous. She understood it was her refusal to remain submissive and continue bringing his meal.
Selina leaned forward, planting her hands on the edge of the desk. Cool. Deliberate. Her face levelled with his, their stare clashing with unspoken tension.
