"Hold on," a guard said, thrusting a hand out toward Selina.
Selina halted when one of Zane's guards blocked her near the front exit. They were inspecting every passerby in the hallway as if they owned the entire hotel.
"What? Why are you stopping me from leaving?" she demanded, forcing a deep, masculine voice as she straightened her chest. The oversized suit did well to swallow her breasts—neither big nor small, now completely hidden.
The well-trained guard answered firmly, "We're searching, sir. Please, I'd like you to cooperate."
Selina scoffed, feigning offense. "I don't know what you're looking for, and I don't care. Besides, you're not even the hotel's official security."
"How did you know that… sir?" the guard asked, his expression sharpening.
For goodness' sake, I should be more careful. Her fingers tightened around the newspaper.
