Aralyn's POV
I finally snapped out of my disbelief and stared at the blue-haired stranger like he had just personally offended me. Actually, he had. After everything that had just happened, after I had nearly died of terror inside that horrible room, after I had stood outside worrying that some nightmare creature had swallowed him whole, he somehow managed to act like I was the annoying one.
A scoff escaped my mouth before I could stop it, and I folded my arms tightly across my chest. "Well, excuse me," I said sarcastically, making no effort whatsoever to hide the irritation in my voice. "I'm so sorry for being concerned about you after you walked into that creepy-ass room. I foolishly thought you might not be able to find your way back out and was just trying to help."
