Aralyn's POV
My entire body was still shaking when the blue-haired stranger finally spoke. Up until that moment, I had been too terrified to do much more than stare at him. My heart was still pounding wildly from whatever that thing had been inside the room, and my breathing hadn't fully recovered either.
The shadow's voice still echoed inside my head, making my skin crawl every time I remembered it. The stranger, however, didn't seem concerned about any of that. He stood in the doorway with his arms folded across his chest, looking down at me with an expression that somehow managed to combine irritation and boredom at the same time.
Then, in a harsh tone that immediately rubbed me the wrong way, he asked, "Are you planning on staying on the floor and looking pathetic all day, or are you going to get up and get out of here?"
