"Mr. Adrian Hartwell," Raven returned Adrian's greeting.
"I didn't expect to see you here."
Adrian approached with Joanna by his side.
A polite smile appeared on his face.
"My apologies for attending under Mr. Whitemore's invitation. When I learned this was your event, I found myself rather eager to come."
Raven smiled and nodded.
"The apology should be mine. I should have invited you when we met."
"Ah, no. Our meeting was brief and rather unexpected. There wasn't much time for anything beyond business discussions."
His gaze then shifted toward Missy.
"You must be Mrs. Ashcroft."
Missy returned his polite smile.
"That's right. Good evening, Mr. Hartwell."
"Allow us to escort you back to your table. The banquet will begin shortly."
"Thank you. It's a pleasure to meet you," Adrian replied with a smile.
The group soon returned to their table to continue the event.
