James clenched his fists tightly. His eyes glowed with a reddish hue. "No one can decide my fate. If I remain stagnant… it's not because of my ability."
A statement full of determination; even Lucius was taken aback by it.
"Haha, not fighting against the fate imposed on you by the system leads to mental stagnation—much worse than physical stagnation. So let me praise you. Your Empowering Blood has a chance of not remaining at this level." Lucius raised his sword again and pointed it at James. "Although you'll remain in this round of the tournament."
