Inside the heart of a mountain on a far off planet, a beast opens their eyes.
"Hmm…"
Galahad gets up from his bed which was a mountain of wealth. There was gold, gems, jewelry, precious metals, on the walls he had on art works from various alien civilizations he and Mélusine found on their travels.
He yawns as he gets out of bed and walk through his home. He follows the scent of food to the kitchen. The kitchen had everything one needed, a panty fully stocked with food and spices and plenty of pots and pans. It's overall appearance wasn't that far off from something taken from primitive village would have.
Over the fire cooking was Mélusine. Her tail swung around in a excited manner.
"Morning, Mel." He greeted.
She turns around with a big smile. Neither she nor him have aged much since they left Earth and began exploring the stars.
"Good morning Gal!" She replied. "I got some fish and had it soaked in soy sauce all night, it's gonna be delicious!"
Galahad looks around to find someone was not there.
"Where is Ekeniyere?"
"He is outside playing, can you get him?"
"I'm on it."
He lifts off the ground and quickly flies out of the mountain. He flies over a wide expanse of nature with a sea of trees below and several mountains dotting the geography. Below he sees a young man with purple hair and deer horns like Galahad.
With them was a girl with long blonde hair and the same branched horns as the young boy but with even more branches. Each one of the branches had some kind of jewelry on them that made her stand out even more beautifully.
The two of them seemed to be sparing with swords made of energy. They notice him and look up. The young man and woman were fairly handsome and beautiful, respectfully.
Galahad flies down and lands a few feet away. The two of them stop their spar to greet him.
"Morning, Ekeniyere." He said to the young man. "Morning, Lita." Then to the young woman.
Lita was of a species Galahad created that he calls the Dragon-Liners. They inhabit a planet in a far off galaxy that perfectly replicates Earth's conditions, with the exception being that the planet it eight times the size of Earth and Galahad, along with Mélusine's help, created the planet.
Their kind started off as Imugi like the ones on Earth that Galahad shed off his horns, but these ones had the capability to evolve. So once the seeds were planted Galahad and Mélusine left till the seeds had bloomed and taken on a shape of their own.
It took twenty thousand years for them to develop to where they are now.
"G—good morning Sir Bate, sir!" She replied a bit nervously.
Their society was rather odd to both of them. The species were strong knit in their community and yet somewhat reclusive. The planet itself is very mountainous with not many open plains. The people of the planet live within mountains with their family. Due to the strength and high natural lifespan of 300 years the species have, they can only have two children.
Additionally only Galahad and Mélusine are able to fly on this planet, all the others on the planet aren't able to. At least not yet.
"Morning dad!" Ekeniyere replied smiling wide. He certainly has his mother's princely charm. "Sorry, is breakfast ready?"
Ekeniyere, named after Galahad's first friend, was born forty years ago. Galahad and Mélusine returned back to the planet about two hundred years or so ago. They easily settled in.
Given Ekeniyere's unique biology being a mix of a Ultimate One/Beast of Humanity and a the incarnated Dragon of Albion, two existences of such high caliber that can only really be called as super existences. So Galahad was somewhat concerned about that, Mélusine eased those worries. He may be too young to be able to fly as his parents, but given his heritage he most likely will be able to.
Ekeniyere was born around the same time as Lita so they are the same age of 40, but given the development period if compared to human's they would be 14, coming up 15 years of age.
"It is. Your mother. Is making her famed Soy Sauce ■■■■." The name of the fish she uses cannot be fully pronounced by the normal human vocal cords, let alone the tongue.
Uniquely they could use their horns as a kind of frequency type of emitter that lets them speak as a human would through their vocal cords. This was rather romantic in Galahad's eyes as a couple could place their horns with their lover and speak through them.
"I know, she told me before she left to go cook it."
"Then I'll leave you be." His eyes rests on Lita. "Lita, you can come along as well if you aren't too busy."
She looks to Ekeniyere and makes a little smile.
"Um, if it's not too much trouble!"
Galahad made a soft expression.
"Not at all." He begins to float up. "I'll see you two at breakfast."
He then flies off back to Mélusine.
When he returns Mélusine was still cooking.
"He is sparing with his girlfriend." Galahad says as he takes his seat on the cushion on the floor by the fire that Mélusine was cooking over.
"Don't say that he'll get mad." She said glancing at Galahad. "You know he'll stomp his feet and yell."
"Hmm… I was never like that when I was his age."
"Neither was I… Hm. We never really had childhoods like his, did we?"
"I was doing assassinations and overthrowing governments by the time I was his age, you were a goop in a swamp."
Mélusine glared sharply at him. Galahad only smiled.
"You are my beloved swamp goop, Mel."
He saw her tail sway a bit more faster.
"I don't like to be called swamp goop, Gal."
"But your my Swamp Goop, Mel."
"Hmm… You're not getting my Soy Sauce ■■■■ for that."
"Come on~" He used his own tail to lift himself up and walk over to her.
He came up behind her, his tail wrapped around her tail, his arms around her waist with his chin resting on her shoulder.
"I'll make it up to you."
"You're not getting any."
"I'll make your favorite next time."
"For a week."
"Then it'll won't be your favorite."
"Three days and I get to be the big spoon."
"Deal, only if the three days are all for dinner."
"Deal, if you throw in a kiss on top."
He gives her a quick kiss on the lips.
"Deal."
Breakfast was finished in a few minutes later. Ekeniyere and Lita came rushing in together. Their clothes were lightly tattered with cuts. Their flesh was fully healed.
The four of them ate the breakfast Mélusine cooked up. They chatted as they ate. Eventually Ekeniyere and Lita left for school. The education on the planet was rather unique as there is no set time to arrive or leave, the students come and go as they please. Maybe it was because they were linage comes from Galahad, but people are on average as intelligent as Earth's greatest scholars.
Alone with Mélusine they sit on top of their mountain that they call home.
"It has been a very long time since we have been together, Galahad." Mélusine said resting her head on his shoulder.
"Yes." He replied watching the horizon. "… Mel. I wanted to ask you, what was your first thought when we first met in that basement?"
"I thought; Is he my master? He looks a bit like a highwayman. What did you think of me?"
"I thought you looked like a very lethal knife."
They remained silent for a while, enjoying their own company. Their hands and tails entwined.
"… Gal, there is something I have to tell you."
"What is it, Mel?"
"… I'm pregnant again."
He turns to her and smiles.
"That is amazing!" He flies up and spins her around.
Mélusine smiles back with an even wider smile.
"You got to name the first one, now I get to name our second child!"
"Of course!" He nods while still spinning. "Ah!" He stops and puts her down. "I should get started and make their room!"
Then something caught Galahad attention. In the corner of his eyes he spotted something far in the distance.
"Hm?"
Traveling through space in a highly sophisticated ship were a pair of astronauts. A young woman with short black hair and oval-shaped eyes with large, black irises, with lower eyelashes being visibly pronounced. The other was a young man with fluffy dark blonde hair with sharp, calm, red eyes.
The young man has his arms crossed as he looks outside the spaceship.
"… Oy." Said the man. "Baikayu, are we on the right track?"
The woman only nods before she speaks.
"Yes, we are, Goya. According to our tracker the Ancestor of the Imugi and the Great Destroyer of the Twenty-Second Century, the fabled Beast of Humanity Galahad is close."
"Uh-huh. We have been flying this ship for a few years now. I am really tired of coming and going into cryo-sleep."
"We have a duty to find them."
"Baikayu did you forget that old prophecy spun by the Knight Order of Galahad?"
"Their words hold weight. For such a old religion they are still highly popular. It was them who helped shape the world. You yourself received one of their Crystal Fruit from the Branch of Galahad."
"Yeah, and?"
"And did you not receive the words of Galahad?"
"Yeah, he told me how best to help the planet. They were right and it did fit me well."
"So why do you not want to complete out duty?"
"Because what if we find them and when we ask them to return to Earth and the find it horrid what if he resets the world?"
"We have and everyone on Earth has worked to make sure the world that gave birth to them will never become a thing again. We have eliminated human trafficking across the board, everyone has a home, everyone has access to free education, healthcare, and have even colonized the moon, Venus, and Mars. More still in the works."
"Then why tempt fate?"
"Because we choose to. We must take command of our own destiny. The beast purged the world. The Kaleidoscope along with the Liners helped fix a lot of the problems of the world."
"Hmm… You sure it has nothing to do with your family's dream of meeting Galahad? You mentioned your great-great-great-great-great—"
"You can just say ancestor."
"Your ancestor, wished to meet them but they never returned before her life came to an end. From what the rumors go from one your family members, she found a secret facility that contained the DNA of Galahad and she used that to…"
She swung her arm and pressed her finger to his lips.
"Since it is between us…" She let out a deep sigh. "That is… partially true."
"Hah!"
"Shut up! Let me explain it you jackass! Ahem! My ancestor did not find what you are imagining, but Galahad's mother, the Northern Continents strongest hero at the time and era. She destroyed everything there, but she discovered a clone of Galahad the American Government created. She didn't have the heart to kill her son, even if it was a clone. She missed her son very much by this point. So she decided to just take and name them Percival. A rather fitting name, no? What with the—"
"Yes, yes I get it. You're not the only one who read the old records salvaged from the ruins of the old civilization and the old man."
"So back to what I was saying. My ancestor still had some attachments to Galahad."
"Because they were an item, yes?"
"No, they never were in a relationship other than plutonic. Things happen and it never went through. But it did go through with Percival, apparently he was smitten by her despite the age difference."
"Gross."
"She was lonely."
"FUCKING. GROSS." He said with even more conviction and sternness.
"I am not justifying I am just giving my ancestor context as to why she kinda did it. It's a mix bag alright! Besides she was in her forties, and he was in his 20s! And she was never part of his life, so she did not groom him!"
"You saying all of this makes it all the more creepy, I hope that now when you let out it out into the world you can understand this, right?"
"… Yes it is very weird." She looked away a bit a icked out by the conversation of her ancestor. "Can we move on from this?"
"Fine, not like they did anything illegal, just really weird. Did he have Galahad's quirk?"
"Oddly enough, no. They fully examined him and fully mapped out his genetics and compared them to the data they recovered from the facility, and he had the genetic markers, but they never manifested. He grew up to be… normal."
"Hmmm. What if the rest of your family? Did any of them get his quirk?"
"No, if anything our families quirk seems to have remained rather consistent with some changes as the generations went by."
"Hm. Was any of your family Liners?"
"None. Maybe if one of them was we would be as powerful as your family."
"Heh!" He smirks. "Powerful huh? Well I guess. But we have our own reasons. It is why I was sent on this trip with you."
"To defeat Galahad?"
"Yeah, our ancestor lost to him and did everything they can to become stronger. He even learned from Galahad's partner, but he was still defeated."
"If what is known about his strength is known, as Humanities apex existence… you're gonna be eating dirt."
"Says you!"
A ding rings in the air. The two look forward towards the planet they are approaching.
"Begin reentry and landing procedures."
"On it."
The two quickly began to move and prepare to land on the planet.
