Galahad appeared next to Mélusine. It was not hard to find her as his own instincts informed him of where she was. He found her back in Japan, drinking Soy Sauce on top of Mt. Fuji.
"Did you have fun?" She asked.
He comes over and sits next to her. She rests her head on his shoulder and he does the same. She offered him a bottle of Soy Sauce for him and he takes it. He drinks some before handing it back.
"I have a last name now."
"What did I say when you returned? You always go around changing stuff about yourself."
"Yes well… this time I feel complete, you know?"
She smiles at that.
"So what's your full name?"
"Galahad Bate."
"Hm… Galahad Bate…" She repeated it a bit. "A fine name. Do you wanna stay like this for a while?"
"I would like that. Sorry I left you so suddenly."
"It's fine. I knew you wanted to spend time with her."
The two remained together for a while in mostly silence. The harsh winds of the mountain came and the soft sounds of Mélusine drinking her soy sauce were the only things that could be heard.
After about a full day together sitting like that they finally moved on to the last person Galahad wish to meet.
At one of the fortresses in what used to be New York, now New-New York, was the entirety of Class 1-A gathered at a roof top. They all had on their hero attire, more militarize and armored. Of the class of 20 only three had material made from an imugi, and those three even ate from it.
Those three were Kakugo, of course, followed by Midoriya and Todoroki. They were all adults now and sharpened from conflict.
All 20 were gathered having a reunion party.
"It has been a long time since we got together like this!" said Kaminari. "Seven years have passed since we graduated!"
"Cheers!" They all raised their glass cups of alcohol and clinked their drinks.
The little get together was on and everyone began to chat and catch up with one another. This went on for a few minutes before Tsuyu sighed and said.
"I do wish he was here."
Everyone quieted a bit at her words. She has remained rather quiet for a long time. She did regrets that day and the actions she put into motion.
"Quit crying!" Bakugo shouted. "He'll be here when he'll be here!"
"I bet you are looking forward to a rematch." Said Kirishima.
"Yeah, and!?" he replied back with his normal level of aggression.
"Kacchan." Deku said. "How was south America? We heard you went and stayed there for a while."
He turned to him and took a sip of his drink.
"Yeah, I met that women we met at the training camp and back when the shit show all happened, Mélusine. When I got there she was waiting for him to return from the deep jungle. Fighting something apparently."
"Oh…" Tsuyu said having paid extra attention to the conversation. "So… he wasn't there?"
"I fought Mélusine, that red armored woman. Damn strong. Managed to at least crack a piece of her armor."
"You are not going to mention that armor was old?"
Bakugo and everyone else turned to look up to see Mélusine there. Her eyes fixed on Bakugo before they were fixed on Tsuyu. She flew down towards her.
"Frog." She says before her, floating over a table. "He is back." She extends her hands towards her. "I'll take you to him."
"Wait! Wait Wait!!" Bakugo shouts. "Get his ass over here! Now!!"
She sighs as she turns around to look at him.
"Sparky-Sparky Boom-Boom. Do you really still—"
"Hell yes!" He shouted with a wide, excited, bloodthirsty grin.
"Hah… He expected this." She points behind him.
Bakugo turns around to see Albert's back. He was snacking on something. His appearance was that of a normal human—himself before he consumed Medusa's blood. He looked to be around the same age as his fellow classmates.
"Ah…" he said softly. "New York. I remember my time here." He said gazing out to the city. He points in a direction. "About 386 meters from where I stand I ate my first hotdog. It was rather bad. A homeless woman gave it to me, saying that a young boy like me shouldn't be out in the streets especially during winter…" He finished his snack and tossed away a thin stick over the side of the building.
"Albert…" Tsuyu got up sharply. "Is that—"
"DIE!!" Bakugo shouted as he leapt at Galahad's back.
Before Bakugo even knew it he had his head slammed into the floor.
"Gah!" he blurted.
Through Galahad's fingers he met his eyes. They were clear, serene. Like he was looking at the sky. It utterly deprived him of the desire to attack, that is not even mentioning the level gap between them. His grip alone was enough to compressed a mountain into the size of a grain of rice.
"Judy Kamil was her name." he continued. "She died not one week later of frostbite. I think to myself was it me? Did I kill her? Did the food she gave me resulted in her dying? The nutrients she offered were wasted on me completely. I was just in those streets waiting to kill the mayor's daughter."
"W—why are you telling this story?" Bakugo said with a strained voice.
"Being here brought up that memory." He smiled.
He let go of Bakugo and picked him up as he stood up straight. He met the gazes of his former classmates. He smiled wider to make a charming little smile.
"I hope you all have been doing well after I destroyed society."
Everyone felt a bit awkward. Tsuyu came up to him. Regret has subtly changed her once optimistic and cute, froggy face.
"I… I… I am sorry!" She cried out, big droplets of tears ran down her sullen face. "I'm sorry I—I caused what—"
"Do not be." He cut her off.
"Huh?" She looked at him, stunned.
"My past was bound to catch up to me. I am not a good person. My hands have long been stained in all the fluids of the human body." His eyes land on the purple one. "Yes, I meant those kinds of fluids as well."
The purple one gulped as Galahad's eyes were so sharp and intense he felt a heavy weight over his heart. Galahad noticed this and looked away back to Tsuyu.
"It is only karma that I would be exposed by the one person my heart first opened up to."
Her face grew only more painful.
"Tell me, how did you figure me out?"
"I… I began to learn English soon after we met at the text exam for U.A. to surprise you. It was when we went together to the convenient store and you talked with your father—handler about murders and framing the League of Villains that I learned."
"Heh…" His lips pulled back as he began to laugh. "Hehahaha!!" he laugh loudly and boldly. "It was my own carelessness!" He settled down and patted Tsuyu's head. He was taller than her. "Tsuyu. I hold no hate in my heart for you. But it also does not hold love… no that is a lie. There is some left in there. In full honesty when I learned you were tracking me it stung. Greatly. It didn't end well as my Quirk was disabled so I was going through a lot. Mostly trauma and abuse that was bottled up."
"Then you exploded." Bakugo said rubbing his face.
Deku came over to check on him.
"Yes… mixed a bit to many different bloods. However it allowed me to break through my chains." He raised his arms out and open. "And win the Grail War. I am free." He clenched his fists tightly and his smile showed his teeth. "A puppet with no strings."
"But… I hurt you. I caused you so much pain."
His expression calmed. He returned his arms back to his side and looked at her still pained face.
"Pain is part of life. If you can't move through it how can you enjoy life?"
Her eyes widen and a kind of softness could be seen in them. A softness that reminded Galahad of their time together.
"Forgive yourself, Tsuyu Asui. You are only a young girl who thought she made the best decision. Who am I to chastise you when I have committed far more greater sins. Hell we are standing in a city I destroyed. I mean… I was the one to kill Mirio."
This did made everyone shudder. They never knew how he died only that he was killed by a villain or some sort. Till this day only Asui, Aizawa, and Nezu know… now the whole class.
"Move on from me, Tsuyu. A kind and charming girl like you deserves to live her life." He walks up to her and gently holds her face. He wipes the tears from her face with his thumbs. "I have lied to you, hidden things from you, and… I am a terrible person."
"S—stop that!" She shouts. "Ribbit! You had no choice, Albert! You were just a—"
"My first action that I can truly say was my own choice was the murder of Sir Nighteye, Mirio's teacher. Did you know what I did after?"
Her and everyone else's eyes widen.
"I danced with Mélusine in that room where I put a gun in his mouth and pulled the trigger all the while wearing the face of the young boy he calls a student. Every action has a reaction. Do not try and sanitize me."
He made a seldom face as he rejuvenated her subtly distorted face of regret. His eyes matching hers.
"I am villain—a Beast of Humanity." He made a gentle sincere smile. "I loved you, Tsuyu Asui. And because I loved you I hope you can live a great life." He takes his hands back and put them behind his back. "Mel."
Mélusine flies over and picks him up into the air.
"Wait! Don't go!" She shouts. "PLEASE!!"
She reached out but he was already out of reach.
"Goodbye, we will never see one another again."
Then Mélusine shoots through the skies at speeds that were beyond human capabilities towards the stars.
"WAIT! DON'T LEAVE!!"
Tsuyu cries out to the night sky at deaf ears as she sees a red comet streak across the sky. The two have gone down separate paths, never to intersect again.
Galahad was making a painful expression as he left the Earth. Mélusine didn't need to look but knew Gal was rather sour.
"Is that really how you want to end it with her?"
Galahad nods as they fly past the moon, a protective barrier covers the two of them that allows them to speak in space.
"I am a Beast of Humanity, it is in my nature to harm humans for their own good."
"Hm!" She tossed him up and caught him with a better grip. They were facing one another with her arms around his torso. "Gal."
Galahad let out a heavy sigh.
"I wanted it to make it easier for her to move on. I said all that I had to say to her. I do not wish to stay on the planet anymore. If I did I could feel the Counter Force beginning to send someone to fight me."
"Hmm… you are something else, Gal." She then made a soft smile. "But that just means you are mine, fully, right?"
He could see her eyes alit with joy and excitement.
"Of course." He smiles back wrapped his hands around her waist. "You are not human so I will never cause you harm."
Her smile widen even more as she pressed her face closer.
"Then I will take this as confirmation that we are lovers through and through!"
"As two tools, now freed from our strings, I wouldn't have a better partner than you."
She couldn't stop herself and pressed her lips to his before pulling them back to speak.
"Hehe!" her face was flush red. "This is the second time I kissed you!"
"You counting that time at the old apartment?"
"Of course!"
"Come on this could have been our first actual kiss, and you blew it!" He laughed.
"Dagh!?"
She agonized over that mistake, but she couldn't wait or think about that when her lover was before her. She felt even more embarrassed as Galahad laughs as they fly through space. Light spilling from them as red and blue blend and let out a purple light, a purple star.
The people on the planet knew one day that now fading purple star will one day return.
