"Gemma, do you know how I recognized you?" Clayton Winters asked calmly, as if he hadn't heard Gemma Montague's pained cries.
Gemma Montague froze, not quite processing his words. 'That's right. I'm wearing Sylvia Blaine's face, and I never admitted to him that I'm Gemma Montague. How did Clayton recognize me?'
Before she could figure it out, Clayton Winters's voice reached her.
"Remember? Our cars crashed this afternoon. When I saw you, your eyes felt inexplicably familiar. It wasn't until I got home that I finally remembered. Those are your eyes. A face can change, but a person's eyes can't lie."
