One bright morning in the royal court, the king announced an exciting event—a grand archery competition. Archers from across the kingdom were invited to participate, and the winner would receive a bag of gold coins along with great honor and recognition.
The news spread quickly. Skilled archers began practicing day and night. Some trained in the palace grounds, while others practiced in the forests, aiming at distant targets with intense focus. Everyone wanted to win.
In the middle of all this preparation, Gopal Bhar, the king's witty and clever court jester, stepped forward and said,
"Your Majesty, I would also like to take part in this competition."
The entire court burst into laughter.
One minister whispered, "Gopal can barely hold a bow, and he wants to compete with the finest archers!"
Another said, "This will be entertaining at least!"
The king, amused but curious, replied,
"Very well, Gopal. You may join. But remember, this is not a game of jokes."
Gopal bowed respectfully and said with a smile,
"Your Majesty, I understand. Let us see what happens."
