Gopal bowed calmly and replied,
"Your Majesty, that was the shot of a man who is completely free from worry."
The king leaned forward with interest.
"Free from worry? Explain yourself."
Gopal said,
"Your Majesty, look at these great archers. They are highly skilled, no doubt. But their minds are filled with tension. They fear losing the prize, losing their honor, and disappointing you. That fear makes their hands tremble and their hearts restless."
He continued,
"But I came here with no expectation of winning. I knew I would lose. So I felt no pressure, no fear, and no anxiety. My mind was peaceful. My shot may have missed the target, but my heart remained calm."
The court fell silent. Even the archers began to think about his words.
