Chapter 1 - chapter 1 part 1

Isekai

It's been so long since that day, while I was walking down the town.

The day when I first got to this world, I think it was about last year or so.

Then I thought back to that day.

I remembered the moment I open my eyes and found myself waking beside a tree, on top of a hill staring at endless blue skies.

The sky shined like Brocken diamonds, I couldn't understand where I was, I stood up and wandered my eyes below the hill.

It was like a breathtaking scenery, the rivers from a distance reflected the golden rays of the sun.

A highlands stretch along the horizon leading towards a vast mountain.

The birds sang a calming melody calming me down.

I stood there in silence, like I had finally found peace after a thousand years.

The memory faded, replaced by the noise of the bustling town. Voices, footsteps, and distant chatter filled the air.

I let out a calm sigh and continued walking down the street, while brushing a grass off my pants as I walked toward the guild.

My footsteps where as peaceful as the scene on that hill.

I made my way to the Adventurers' Guild and stepped inside, hoping to find a job request.

I stepped inside the Guild and walked towards the quest board.

Requests filled the board, herb gathering, monster subjugation, and more.

I took on a simple low rank job, herb gathering, hoping to find something useful for myself.

I went straight to the counter and handed the receptionist the herb gathering request.

After handing over the request, I left the guild and walked out of town.

The noise of the streets gradually faded behind me, replaced by the quiet rustling of grass.

Moments later, I stood in the highlands, carefully searching for any herbs I could find.

Before long, my sack was filled with herbs, but tucked among them.

I spotted a rare, glowing blue herb that laminated faintly in the sunlight.

"This is the herb that the guilds been taking about, what was it called again? Instant Healing herb? Or something," I murmured to me self.

I carefully plucked the rare herb and tucked it away, deciding not to hand it over to the guild.

As I looked around, the view took my breath away.

The green highlands rustled in the wind, the sky lit up like a diamond, and the golden rays of the sun felt peaceful and perfect.

I sat down the soft grass under a tree, gazing over the highlands and letting the scenery wash over me.

A meandering river in the distance caught my eye.

"I really want a swim, ever since I got here, I've only been able to clean my self on the fountain." I muttered to myself as I slowly stood.

I walked peacefully toward the river, letting the soft rustle of the highlands and gentle blowing of the wind calm my thoughts.

The gentle breeze blew small particles of the grass away.

Reminding me of the herbs I had gathered and the rare herb safely tucked away in my pocket.

By the time I reached the base of the hill, I couldn't hold back any longer.

I dropped my things and rushed toward the water, feeling the grass beneath my feet as I sprint.

The river looked even more peaceful up close, its surface glowed like liquid Brocken diamonds in the sunlight.

Without any hesitation, I dove in, the cool water washing over me and chasing away the heat and fatigue of the walk.

I floated on my back, letting the current drift me away.

The highlands stretched vastly around me rolling green hills, distant mountains, and the sky shining bright with golden rays.

For the first time since arriving to this world, I felt completely free.

Even as I swam, I kept my eyes on the rare herb in my pack, a small reminder of my little secret and the adventures still waiting for me beyond this peaceful moment.
