The Alpha King’s Favorite Threat
“When you send me back, make me rich.” That was the first wish Freya ever made to the Moon Goddess after she was killed by the Immortal Alpha King, Nolan.
She did not stay alive long enough to enjoy it.
“When you send me back,” Freya wished the second time, after she was killed again soon after her return, “I hope I do not trip while my powerful wolf destroys everything in its path with just my growl alone.”
She was sent back, and got killed again.
By the third time Freya returned to the Moon Goddess’s abode, even the Goddess looked amused.
“Any last cunning wish?” the Moon Goddess asked with a smirk. “Remember, this is your final wish.”
Freya was tired of dying. Tired of being hunted. Tired of being brutalized before she could even understand why the King always found her.
Still, she lifted her head.
“When you send me back again,” Freya said quietly, “this time as the King’s weakness, make me remember.”
The Moon Goddess stilled.
“Very well,” she said at last. “If you survive beyond the moment of your previous death, I will return everything you lost. Your wealth and your powerful wolf. But you will begin again from the very beginning.”
********
Freya is reborn as the Immortal Alpha King’s only weakness. The moment Nolan realizes he can bleed when she bleeds, every enemy he has ever made comes for him—gods, alphas, even the Moon Goddess. So he keeps her close. Not out of mercy, but control.
Freya hates the man who has killed her in every life, even as he becomes the only thing standing between her and death. Nolan despises Moon Bloods and the idea that one is bound to him. Yet the longer they remain bound together, the more his control begins to fail.
Too close. Too aware. Too much heat where there should only be contempt.
This is Freya’s last life. And surviving the King is no longer the hardest part.
Wanting him is.

This story is different from what you may expect about werewolves, the Moon Goddess, and mate bonds. Some familiar rules are broken here. I hope you enjoy the journey.
