{In elder speech} By the way, about the black sludge, it is what you can call blood of nature.

{In elder speech} To be more precisely, they are fossils of fauna or decomposed flora and turned into black sludge in deep grounds becoming blood of nature.

{In elder speech} Technically this blood of nature is a type of oil, a fuel for humans that are truly of this world.

{In elder speech} What they use the nature's blood for?

{In elder speech} It is a fuel, the western humans refine this blood they call crude oil, into various derivatives, like petrol, diesel, LPG, tar, kerosene and so on, they can fuel a vehicle or used in household items or even build solid roads that can be found in western continent, the nature's blood or crude oil is their lifeblood to fuel their civilization.

{In elder speech} Sounds like a resource to them.

{In elder speech} It is not just limited to oil, they can be generate lightning that they tame and use to power the artifacts they called electronics.

{In elder speech} They can even creat lightning!

{In elder speech} Yes, they call it electricity, it is generated by various means, using steam generated by coals, natural steam, flowing water, the sunlight, moving winds and even by essense of physical world, they call atoms.

The sages had there jaw dropped.

{In elder speech} The alchemists knew that lightning is also an energy just like chaos, but they believed that unlike chaos, the lightning cannot fuel an artifact, but look at these native humans from west, they know how to harness the power of lightning to fuel their artifacts, if this comes out, the alchemists will be very ashamed.

{In elder speech} Aren't you an alchemist yourself?

{In elder speech} Which is why, I feel very embarrassed as I used to believe that lightning cannot be power source, but if what spirits said is true, that what I also believed was wrong after all.

{In elder speech} Relax, my friend, it is good thing that you know the truth and corrected your beliefs, it is a good thing that you discover something true before other alchemists.

{In elder speech} Yeah, do not feel upset, isn't alchemy is about trial and error, this revelation is no different, perhaps you can find a way to use lightning as fuel.

{In elder speech} By the way these humans are completely devoid of any chaotic energy someting that every humans in this continents as well as in isles possess, why is that.

{In elder speech} About that, because unlike otherworldly humans and your kind as well as any being with chaotic energy is attuned to spiritual aspects of nature of entire universe. But these people instead have strong connection to physical world and physical laws.

{In elder speech} So, they cannot use magic?

{In elder speech} They can, in form of alchemy, runes and rituals that non-mages can use, they simply cannot cast spells as none of them can awake a source. However, given their connection to physical rather that spiritual, they are better in advanced forms of natural science and utilize the natural phenomenas to their advantage, result in creation of technology, the artifacts and elixirs that is combination of various natural laws to get desired results.

{In elder speech} So they prefer, natural laws over supernatural powers?

{In elder speech} Yes, in magic one bypass the law of nature to get desired result by bending and sometimes even breaking the natural flow of universe, but in technology, one doesn't bend or break the flow of universe, instead one utilize the natural flow to one's own advantage and combining them all in certain right combination to get desired result. Magic is about cheating the universe while technology is about to coopererating with universe to get what one wants.

{In elder speech} Sounds like new knowledge to me, but atleast I understood how they can achieve magic like result without magic.

{In elder speech} So, they can use magic, they simply cannot awake source and given their nature, they are better in what you call technology, a non-magical means to gain same results that magic can offer.

{In elder speech} Well, it is a relief that these humans are not planning to destroy the nature like the humans of this continent usually do.

{In elder speech} They are better than humans you know, sages of hill folks, unlike the humans of this continent who are religious, superstitious and racist, the humans of west, don't give damn about religion as they are all atheist not because they don't believe in god, but because they never found one, as scientific and logical people they don't believe in baseless superstitions and believe in what make sense even if it doesn't sound believable as these folks prefer an unbelievable truth over believable lie. Unlike the humans of this continent the humans of west are not racist, they are liberal, loyal, disciplined, moralful and strong belief in what is right, they will never mistreat someone just because of their race rather than actions, if they found the non-humans, they will treat them as close door neighbours not aliens.

{In elder speech} *Stunned* Are humans of west really that reasonable?

{In elder speech} More than reasonable, the west is literally a paradise, a place where anyone with knowledge, work ethics and effort can make their dream come true. The west is a place of trials of progress and technology, a socirety that achieve so much.

{In elder speech} *Becoming curious* What west is like?

{In elder speech} *Smirking* Unconditional regard and respect for human right or perhaps even non-human rights if they found you. They place is filled with lavish leisure for everyone, upper, middle and even lower class citizens. Various cultural pursuits. Rapidly growing economy with endless job opportunity and business opportunities. The west is where life is meant to be enjoyed everyday, provide one is willing to work hard to achieve everything they want.

The sages had their eyes widened, as a land like what spirits mentioned truly deserved to be called a paradise were only price is effort.

{In elder speech} I don't know why but I feel like wanting to rush to west if I know how to cross that vast ocean.
