Chapter 5 - The elven dilemma and investigation

{In elder speech} This is grave news the invasive humans are usurpers but native humans are someone who rightfully own this world alongside dwarves, gnomes and halflings, we can argue with humans that doesn't belong to this world, but when cannot argue with humans that truly belonged to this world.

{In elder speech} Indeed, if these humans attacks us, unlike the ones we faced before, these humans would be right to attack us, as they natives and we and invasive humans are outsiders.

{In elder speech} We must not let other natives especially the dwarves to know this, if they learn abut the humans who are truly native like them, the dwarves will be quick to side with them, a fellow native.

{In elder speech} Understood, I will tell other sages to ensure that other native don't know about fourth native race has arrived.

{In elder speech} Also, I want you to check what is the use of the black sludge they are using, but also talk with spirits of world, about their opinion on these truly native humans.

{In elder speech} I will.

Soon, Anrai left the place to inform other sages, the elves now shaking in fear, they can turn their blade at the throats of another outsider, but not against the native, especially if the native has capability to achieve great things without the need of chaos.

Some elves even argued that these native humans are this world's immune system, that can purge both hill folk elves and invasive humans who overstayed their welcome, if they ever discover them.

During midnight, near miner's camp

Three elven sages arrived at the camp, with no one around.

{In elder speech} Are you sure no one's watching.

{In elder speech} I don't sense anyone, it seems they are all sleeping.

{In elder speech} That's good, I have no problem in breaking the skull of an invasive human in self defense, but I will feel guilty if I did something like that to a native human.

{In elder speech} Anyway, let's start the ritual we need to know what is opinion of spirits on these native human and what is that black sludge they are digging.

The three sages decide to start the ritual to summon the spirits, unaware that security teams know about them and watching through cameras in security room.

Should we arrest the intruders?

Not yet, let's see what are they doing.

But sir, if they are planning to sabotage us...

Do not panic, the merceneries with stealth field generator belt are there, it make them invisble and undetectable through normal physical and magical means. The stealth only deactivate when they enter in certain actions or if they enter in combat, meaning they won't be found out.

Meanwhile, the merceneries not far from sage are clearly watching them thanks to stealth device.

I never seen a human with pointy ears, are they intelligent beings like us? Or the intelligent monsters?

Who knows, they might be different type of human, or they are not human at all, but I am certain they are not monsters.

Even though they have source, that only monsters could have, as none of us carry it, if someone still prefer the old ways, they normally use alchemy, rituals and runes and magic spells is impossible without source.

Just observe them, for now.

The ritual begins and the sages starts to summon the nature spirits of surrounding area.

{In elder speech} Awake, the spirits of nature, tell us your feelings, your opinions, your suffering, everything.

The spirits of nature appears, putting security team watching on screen and merceneries watching directly to be in awe at what they are seeing.

{In elder speech} Greetings, sages of hill folks, what can we do for you?

{In elder speech} We have many questions to ask, about those humans whose existance working in harmony to the nature sand forces of this world, what is the black liquid they are digging and what they want from this land.

{In elder speech} *Chuckled* Ah, so it seemed you are worried about humans that came from west. Don't worry they are children of this world unlike the ones in this continent that came from other world and are outsiders.

{In elder speech} *Shocked* Wait! So, they are really natives not invaders like the humans we knew.

{In elder speech} And what you meant by came from west? Isn't west is all water and no land?

{In elder speech} The world you are settlers are occupying is way bigger than you can imagine, true the west seemed all water and no land, but in reality, they is another continent is west.

{In elder speech} In fact, it was precise due to them coming from land in far west that could be reached by crossing vast ocean, that the natives and settlers of eastern continent didn't notice this world's own humans.

{In elder speech} And how they treat nature, do they preserve it or destroy it.

{In elder speech} Normally some of their progress ruin natures, but they are also capable of restoring it.

{In elder speech} They takes from nature but they also return things to nature, something thayt otherworldly humans never do.

{In elder speech} For example, if they ever deforest a region, they will replant trees and plants in unused places, they even grow potted plants, not just for decoration but to ensure that progress and ecosystem stay in complete harmony with each other.

{In elder speech} Sounds like a noble act, they take from nature but also return things to them.

{In elder speech} In fact, they can even turn barren land fertile, can turn a desert into lush forest, it is expensive but not impossible for them, they did it in past in western continent.

SAY WHAT?!

They have great knowledge of natural law, mechanical, biological, botanical and anything else, they don't need chaos, they can simply use advanced form of mundane ways to restore ecosystem or intensify the nature.

The sages looked at each other realising that the western humans are very responsiblr people, which is good thing as they don't have to worry about nature as they not destroying it, as they know how to restore nature, and how to balance progress and ecosystem.
