Chapter 8 - Journey

The city was still half asleep.

Streetlights flickered faintly as the first hint of dawn began to color the sky. The roads were almost empty, except for the occasional bus or bicycle passing by.

He walked quietly along the sidewalk, his bag resting on his shoulder.

Every step took him farther from home.

Farther from the life he had always known.

But strangely… he didn't feel nervous.

He felt calm.

For the first time in a long while, the future was uncertain.

And that made it interesting.

A cold morning breeze brushed against his face as he reached the train station. The place was slowly waking up—vendors setting up stalls, passengers waiting with sleepy eyes, announcements echoing across the platform.

He stopped for a moment and watched everything.

So many people.

Each one moving somewhere.

Each one chasing something.

Dreams. Jobs. Responsibilities.

Purpose.

He wondered how many of them actually knew why they were moving forward.

He adjusted the strap of his bag and stepped onto the platform.

A train arrived with a loud screech, its doors sliding open.

People rushed inside.

He followed them calmly.

Inside the train, he found a seat by the window.

As the train slowly began to move, the city started drifting away.

Buildings passed by.

Streets faded into the distance.

The life he had known grew smaller with every second.

He rested his head against the window, watching the world blur past.

This was only the beginning.

A journey without a clear destination.

But maybe that was the point.

Because somewhere out there—

Beyond the cities, the crowds, and the endless roads—

His purpose was waiting.

And he intended to find it.
