"Babi, please... it's about time." She hurtfully pleaded.

There was just silence from Babi, she sat in the seat at the corner of what looked like an office, most of the things were covered in dust and had not been touched in a very long time.

Besides Babi, there was a child's reading table with the kid's book on top, open as if someone had left it open to come back and continue reading it.

Silence speaks louder than words. She turned, looking at the lady before her.

The plain stoic expression on Babi's face made it hard for the lady to tell what exactly she was feeling or thanking.

Yet from Babi's silence, the lady knew that it may not yet be time for Babi to do as requested.

She slowly walked close to Babi. On her knees, she went down, levelling with her.

" We all miss him dearly , but we have to move on regardless," she said in pain.

" Maybe you're right, but how could you want to leave him in the past so desperately. " Babi painfully said.

" How is it so easy for you, mom?" Babi inquired. Her voice filled with a lot of hurt .

Babi stood up, and she furiously walked past the mother , disappearing from the office, leaving her on the knees . She covered her mouth with her hands quietly sobbing .

Babi, this young lady, so beautiful and eye-catching from head to toe, not the tallest nor the shortest, just in between.

Her afro hair was big, black, curled, thick, and long to her shoulder, her eyes brown and big, so amazing to look at, her slender nose and full lips, with a little bit of chubby cheeks.

She was slender from the shoulders, with a small waist, and expands with moderately big curves and an ass so well rounded. It's just the perfect hourglass body most girls dream of having .

She was covered with glowing caramel skin. Her beauty and demeanour made her stand out in crowds.

She entered into the dining room sitting at the table.

"Are they back yet, Aunt Luna?" Babi asked as soon as she sat.

"No," Luna said.

Luna smiles at Babi, pushing forward a plate of cookies to her.

"Thank you," Babi said with a slight smile.

Luna, her aunt, had a lovely smile. She had blonde long hair and small pink lips. Her face was oval shaped and long. She was slender in size, tall, and a lovely pale white skin.

"Can I have some too?" The mother came in asking.

She placed a book in front of Babi with a smile. Babi looked at the book and then raised her eyes to her mother.

"Do you as well get paid for bringing these books over and over again?" Babi asked the mother.

"We are home." There was a loud shout from the door.

A very tall gentleman with dark chocolate skin, masculine, a well-cut beard, and well-cut hair led the way coming in.

He was followed by a young lady looking almost the same as Babi, just a few features differentiating them.

She was pushing a wheelchair with a young man in it.

The young man in the wheelchair had a physical impairment in his lower limbs.

"Didn't expect to see you here, Nancy." the gentleman said.

Nancy , a tall, slender, extremely beautiful lady in her late 30s with a bright espresso skin.

"It's nice to see you too, Charles," Nancy said, standing up.

"Morgan love." Nancy smiled widely approaching him in the wheelchair.

"Mama," He called .

"Yes, baby?" Nancy said, moving closer to embrace her son.

"Thank you, Neacky," Nancy said

"No need to thank me, mom." She said, sitting next to Babi.

"Another book?" Neacky said.

They all were familiar with the fact that Babi received books from Nancy.

"She no longer reads these books, I don't know why you bother to bring them," Neacky said.

"Tell him to stop sending me these books," Babi said.

"No need," Nancy said.

They all turned staring at Nancy.

"He left a note saying it will be the last one, and besides, to whom am i going to tell," Nancy added.

Babi looked away from her mother, eyes glued to the book.

Much as it she no longer read these books, at least, as they say, her facial expression said more. She seemed a bit sad to hear that.

"Good," she breathed out, her voice saying it all.

Neacky raised her eyes, looking at Babi. She couldn't hide it .

"Babi," Charles called.

"Will you give me a ride to the diner?" Babi instead asked.

"Sure," Charles said with a smile.

"You will drop me off first," Neacky said.

The twins stood up at the same time in sync. Neacky grabbed her bag as Babi grabbed the book, both excusing themselves from the dining room.

All their eyes were on them watching how they did the same things at the same time.

They seemed the same, though Neacky was a bit more slender than Babi, which differentiated them .

Neacky's had a more slender face and other prominent body features. Like waist , hips, and shoulders.

Babi opened her bedroom door, and her facial expression then changed, dropping the stoic facade to extreme sadness as soon as she closed the door behind her.

She leaned against the door, holding the book tight in her hands, her eyes on it.

"The last one," she mumbled to herself, fighting back her tears.

She opened the book, ruffling through the pages till the middle of the book.

She softly smiled on seeing the small note in the middle. She removed the note from the book, closed it, and opened the note reading it.

Sky,

Every single day, every single minute and every moment, I pray that miss Nancy is not deceiving when she speaks of you saying that you are doing fine , It's been over a year, without you writing or reaching back to me. I have asked myself over and over again ,and i have also asked you repeatively to inform me of what i did wrong . Your silence and my lack of wit to figure it out have made me learn to be comfortable with ever not knowing .

It's that, your decision that I am going to respect. This is going to be my last book and final reach out. Thank you for being my best friend and support. I am also truly sorry for my shortcomings . Blessings in all you're doing and intend on doing .

I love you, Sky.

J.

Babi swallowed hard , struggling to hold it together and hold back the flood of tears in her eyes.

She folded the note and then opened the book to the last pages.

The last pages were cut in with a flash fitted in that place. Babi walked to her wardrobe, opening it.

It was filled with different books, arranged from down, and there were more flash disks labelled with tags.

There was also a small box, she opened it putting the note there, the box had in it more different notes, aside she had many photo cards arranged as well.

In silence, Babi looked at her collection in painful thoughts .

The door was opened, and Neacky came through.

"Yo," Babi shouted, shutting the wardrobe in a hurry and leaning on it.

"Babi, wait ...the reason why all your clothes are flooded in my room is that you're using your wardrobe as space to keep all the things you guys share with J" Neacky said in disbelief.

Babi widely smiled at Neacky immediately hiding the sadness she had been in.

"No, we have just always played dress up since we were little, and we still do so. Why not keep the clothes together?" Babi said.

Neacky walked to Babi, pushing her aside, she opened the wardrobe door, staring at everything inside.

"The fact that we are twins and I am just realising I have never seen this blows my mind," Neacky said.

"There is nothing you don't know, Neacky, trust me," Babi said.

Neacky breathed out, then turned to staring at her sister.

"If you love this guy to this extent, then why not continue talking to him. You stopped picking up his calls. You even changed your number, and you stopped writing back for months now," Neacky said, full of concern.

Babi walked away in silence to her dressing table, grabbed her bag, and packed in headsets, her phone, and a couple of things that were at the dressing table.

"Maybe some things are just not meant to happen, and all we have to do is leave it at that," Babi said.

"I have to work. Close it if you're done," Babi added, then walked out.

Neacky closed the wardrobe with its keys and then followed her twin out.

"Do you realize, I have never seen him," Neacky said closely following.

"It's no longer important, sweetheart," Babi said.

"It is, I need to see the guy my sister has been crushing on for years," Neacky said.

"We are best friends, Nakato," Babi said .

Neacky stopped walking, and she glared at Babi.

She always calls her by her short name Neacky, the times when Babi fully calls her by her full name, Nakato is when the matter is sensitive or when they are fighting.

Neacky sighed, then continued to the living room, joining the rest, and Babi gently kissed Morgan on the forehead.

"I love you, Morgan," she smiled.

"I love you Babi," Morgan replied.

"You don't have to work, Babi," Nancy said.

Luna and Charles looked at each other, knowing what to exactly expect from Babi.

"You never say that when I bring my contribution." Babi coldly said.

"I am sorry, love," Nancy said.

"Thank you," Babi said.

Neacky kissed Morgan on the cheek and then smiled at him.

"I love you, Morgan," she said as well

"I love you, Neacky," he replied.

"Let's go," Charles said, standing up.

"Have a nice day, my babies," Nancy said.

"Thank you , " Neacky replied, continuing their way out of the house .

Babi sat at the back while Charles and Neacky sat in the front.

Charles started the engine driving the two off.

The car was never quiet. They always had what to talk about, laugh about, or listen and sing along to the songs that played on the radio.

It wasn't any different this time round .

"Nathan hasn't gone to work yet. He wants us to pick him up," Babi said , interrupting Charles and Neacky's huming to the song on the radio.

"What happened to his car? Why doesn't he drive himself?" Charles asked.

" I don't know, he took it at the mechanics," Babi replied.

" Aren't they rich? Let him buy another," Charles joked.

"Be nice, " Babi said.

"I am sorry," Charles said.

"Thank you," Babi added.

Neacky and Charles giggled, Babi looked at both of them confused, this was when she realized these two were fucking with her.

"So who is the one?" Charles said.

"I would love to know as well," Neacky said.

"What exactly are we talking about?" Babi asked raising her head from her phone.

"Is it Nathan or J?" Charles asked.

"Uncle Charles, the two are my best friends," Babi said with emphasis.

Charles raised his one hand to surrender making Neacky giggle.

Just soon enough, they were already uptown in the rich people's states, the car packed by the road in front of some huge gate.

Nathan was already outside waiting. He is tall, with dark silky hair, light green eyes, a sharp nose, and a little bit muscular.

Nathan was that handsome simple friend, there was nothing complicated about him. He walked to Neacky's window with a wide smile. She lowered her window making eye contact with him, she bears that cute little smile.

"Good morning beautiful." He calmly smiled.

"Handsome" Neacky smiled.

"Can you both stop flirting, I am late for work," Babi said.

They all laughed hard, he opened the behind door getting in seating next to Babi.

"Hater" Nathan smiled at Babi.

"Your father owns the diner he sure won't have a problem with you coming late," Babi said.

"And you, his employee are his son's best friend plus his favorite I'm sure that is double no trouble," Nathan said.

Just down the street , not far from the dinner , Neacky was dropped off at her ballet studio.

There was nothing she loved like dancing, ever since she got on her two feet to stand, it became her thing and she became better at it each day.

She had performed on a couple of huge stages in big performances which gave Neacky same fame and promised an given brighter future.

"Are we going out tonight?" Neacky asked before she got out the car .

"Yes, it's the bonfire night at the valley beach," Nathan said.

"Please tell Kim to come with Matt because we need his deputy father to cover for us in case we get raided by the police," Babi said.

"Obviously, meet later at the diner," Neacky said joyfully getting out of the car.

The car continued reaching the diner, AM'S Diner ,the sign post shone up in red led lights.

The diner was located at the center of what separates the down valley town and the uptown.

It was large, well designed and very popular with people. It was known for its delicious fast food , large parking, and convenience with a drive-through.

"Thank you, Uncle Charles," Nathan said, getting out.

"Do you have a night shift?" Babi asked Charles.

"Do you need me?" Charles asked.

"I am sure Mom is not staying over tonight. She has to go back to the Grayson tower, and Morgan will need someone to help him sleep at night," Babi said.

"Do you really not like her working at the Grayson tower?" Charles asked.

"Do we have an option?" she asked, immediately getting out of the car.

Babi joined Nathan, who was waiting out , both marching to the dinner.

There was a gentleman seated at the bench outside the diner, he bore a simple smile looking at Babi and Nathan approach.

"Mr Wood," Babi happily said, calling the gentleman .

"My Babi," Mr Wood happily said.

"Were you waiting for me?" she happily asked.

"Yes, you know waiting for you here is what I anticipate for all day." Mr Wood said.

"That pleasure is mine," Babi said.

"Mr Wood," Nathan called.

"Nathan," Mr Wood said.

"Shall we?" Babi asked Mr Wood to enter with them.

"No, go ahead. I still need some air." Mr Wood said.

The two entered inside, Nathan looked at Babi, who looked extremely happy.

" Oh shit " Nathan sighed, gazing at the already flooded dinner .

" It's going to be a long day," he added.

Feeling exhausted even before he started working.

Babi deeply inhaled, and she continued to the back room to change into the dinner workers' uniform.

The news and note from the book received had left her devastated, the farewell not settling well with her .

With a heavy and tight chest , rigid aching muscles like blood had cloted in her veins. Babi stood before her locker with tears in her eyes.

That numb feeling and void in her head and heart she couldn't to shake off or find proper words to explain.

"B , where are you?" a voice called from out the locker rooms.

"Coming," Babi replied.

Holding in her tears, she covered her pain with a wide smile and rushed back into the dinner to consume herself with work.
