"It's very cold out here, Sky," Darnel said.
"Mom is home. She hasn't returned to the tower. Opening the door will cause unnecessary attention," Babi worriedly said.
Babi opened the window, leaning out, staring at him down properly.
" Great idea." Darnel smiled .
" i will use the window," He added.
" Are you crazy , its dangerous," Babi worriedly said.
" Don't , i will rather come out," Babi added.
" Too late." Darnel smiled, hanging up the phone immediately.
" Fuck...." Babi worried, watching him climb using the wall designs where he could grip himself.
" Be careful," Babi quietly said as Darnel very determinedly climbed up their two story house.
Babi grabbed his hand as soon as he got close to the window, helping him up entering inside her bedroom.
Darnel deply exhaled ,his eyes wandering around the room with a bright smile on his face.
Babi closed the curtains and turned on the lights in her room.
"You didn't have to," Babi said awkwardly . She turned the key in the door, locking the room.
"I wanted to." Darnel smiled.
"Your room, I like it, actually I love it," he added , walking further in .
Babi immediately rushed to her wardrobe, standing in front of it and leaning on it.
"What are you hiding in there?" Darnel asked. She was very obvious.
"Nothing," Babi exhaled , sounding so dire.
"You're lying," Darnel imsisted, coming close to her.
"Why would I lie to you, J." Babi said, looking straight in his eyes.
"Then step aside." he smiled.
"No," she replied so dire.
Darnel moved closer, trying to push her side as she insisted.
He began tickling her .
"Hmm..uh....." Babi remained poised , folding her mouth, refusing to laugh or give in .
Darnel smiled, not giving up either . He extended closer, tickling her around the ribcage up and down .
" Haha...." Babi burst into laughter, to which Darnel hurriedly covered her mouth, not letting the laughter exceed the room.
"Ah..." Darnel retracted , shaking is hand on Babi bitting her finger . Then chuckling quietly.
" Huh..." Darnel smiled.
He instead carried her up and threw her on the bed so swiftly. Both burst into quiet laughter as he opened the wardrobe.
Silence filled him, looking at what was in the wardrobe.
"These..... " Darnel was speechless.
He went down , sitting on the floor and gently touching and feeling the books.
He pulled out the book she last received , perusing through it till the middle part where the note was .
"You kept these!" he finally said.
She climbed down the bed, sitting down next to him .
" I could not throw them away, despite desperately wanting to cut you off," Babi said.
"I'm sorry,Josiah," she softly and genuinely added.
"I know you are," Darnel exhaled.
Babi softly chuckled. Darnel exhaled , and he turned facing her quietly, gazing at her .
"Why didn't you go home?" she asked.
"I was afraid of losing you again. We have barely talked, and who knows, you could disappear on me again," Darnel said.
Babi snickered with a smile on her face , keeping her eyes on him.
"Seeing my best friend today made me realize how much I missed him, I don't think I will disappear again," Babi softly said.
"And besides, you would chase me down now that you even know my workplace and friends group," she added smiling.
" i would , and run you over with my car for putting me through hell again." He smiled.
They both chuckled, maintaining the eye contact.
Darnel gently pulled Babi close to him, embracing her tightly, Babi held him relaxing in his hands.
"Next time I get to chase you down, I will really be killing you," Darnel said.
"I will be the one doing the chasing if you ever disappear," she smiled.
"Don't let my arranged engagement or my family get in between our friendship." Darnel pleaded.
Babi retracted from the embrace, and her smile disppeared. She thoughtfully looked in silence.
"Before we got to fully understand our duties and responsibilities to our families, we bonded, so let that not change." Darnel added pleading .
" do you think that will be easy , we were so young and innocent then " Babi sadly said .
" Sky .." Darnel called, more like a painful plead.
Babi snickered painfully , staring down at her fingers she was playing with, countless thoughts ran in her head
" Skylar.." Darnel pushed himself closer to her pleading .
" I love you," Babi said underneath her breath.
She raised her sad eyes, gazing all his face .
" i love you ,Josiah," Babi softly added , staring into his eyes.
Darnel's whole face lightened up a smile .
"I love you more, Babirye Skylar Adams Mcweesly," Darnel smiled.
" hell , i really love you more Sky " He added , smiling more widely.
Babi deeply inhaled with soft smile. Getting up on her feet .
"Mind you, I need a review for each of the books I spent sending you the past year," Darnel said, placing the book back in the wardrobe and closing it .
"Easy peasy." she proudly smiled.
"The number that you called me on..."
"It's my secret number. Only you and William have it. Mother has a habit of tracking the other one, so I got my personal phone," he said, not letting her finish her statement.
"And who gave you my number?" she asked.
"Will helped me get it from Nathan's phone " Darnel chuckled.
" What , when?" Babi laughed .
" Just know i gat it . One way or another, " Darnel smiled , sitting on the bed.
Babi laughed , pulling a box from underneath the bed , placing it before Darnel.
"What is this?" he asked.
"Open it." she smiled.
Darnel opened the box, and his jaw dropped. He was too stunned to speak.
"Remember that camp we wanted to go to 3 years ago?" she smiled.
"The matching nightwear that we were supposed to wear," he said happily in disbelief.
"I got them." she smiled.
"I love them," he smiled , removing them from the box.
" Fuckin hell," Darnel chuckled in disbelief, unfolding the pyjamas on the bed.
"Go shower, then try them on," Babi smiled.
Darnel excitedly stood up with his night wear rushing to the bathroom. He shortly returned from the bedroom weraing them, posing as a model.
Babi covered her mouth laughing , Darnel smouldered his face , giving Babi a free catwalk from the bathroom door to the other side of the room.
Babi burst into more laughter , watching him boost himself in the pyjamas.
"I love them," he smiled.
"Ummm, you look hot," she giggled.
"What are you waiting for? Go shower and get yours on," he happily said.
Babi grabbed hers and moved to the bathroom.
Babi had laid down a blanket with a pillow on it and another blanket for covering next to her bed.
She had organized this for him to sleep on for this unplanned sleepover that was going well so far.
Babi finally came out, making Darnel, who was laying down on the arranged blankets , burst into laughter.
" Get changed. These are only for me," Darnel teased, laughing .
" You look hedious," Darnel continued laughing
" Hater , the mirror says otherwise." Babi rolled her eyes.
The pyjamas shorts culfed her curves properly, with the shirt that rested perfectly on her body .
Darnel couldn't help staring , not getting his eyes off her . He swallowed hard watching her put a bonet on her hair.
"I could fuck you right now, so enticing," he said quietly.
"Hmm..." she raised her eyes inquisitively. Darnel chuckled, shaking his head.
" You look sexy ...that's what i am trying to say." He smiled
" i know," Babi confidently smiled.
Darnel got under the blankets as Babi entered her bed as well . She rolled to the side, staring down at him.
Darnel rolled to his left , staring at her . Silence filled the room , maintaining eyes on each other .
"Do you mind?" he softly asked, flipping one side of the blanket open as a way of inviting her to join him down.
"It will be more like the camp we missed," he added.
She looked at him very hesitantly but finally stood up with her pillow joining him.
Darnel covered her in his blanket. Facing each other, their eyes into each other in quietness.
"Sky." he quietly called.
"Yes?" she replied.
"Is it true that I was your first love as they said at the beach?" he asked.
" Tsk..." she rolled her eyes.
"You were my first kiss. Not love " she quietly replied.
" my mother's family has served yours since the 70s. I am my mother's first generation, " Babi quietly said.
" What's with our families history?" Darnel asked.
"Do you realize that when you and Marieh get married, I will have to be the head maiden for my two best friends?" she softly said.
Darnel sighed , he rolled on his stomach raising his head looking at her.
" Things could change. You might not have to be your mother's legacy, and i think Desmond will be the heir, " Darnel said.
" So i will have to serve your brother," Babi asked
" No ..." Darnel exhaled
"For goodness sake its the 21st century, why would we follow that crap " Darnel said in frustration.
" but your engaged to Marieh, based on the deal that was struck in the 90s " Babi instead.
"I don't know much about marrying her, but I know I am so keeping you for the rest of our lives." he quietly replied.
Darnel then pulled himself close to her, covering up the space that was between them and gently kissing her on the forehead .
He turned to his left, laying down and gently pulling her in his chest .
Babi exhaled , curving and relaxing in his chest , closing her eyes to rest . Darnel closed his eyes, comfortably getting some rest too.
"Babi?" There was a knock on the door.
Babi frowned slowly opening her eyes.
Immediately feeling the hands wrapped around her , her back onto Darnel's warm chest.
Darnel was soundly asleep , curved into Babi .
"Babirye ?" the voice called again.
Babi sighed , getting fully awake . Nervousness fully kicked in , the sun was out, and there she was soundly sleeping in Darnel's chest .
" FUCK...." Babi mouthed in regret.
She turned to facing Darnel, her eyes all over his handsome face watching him sleep.
"You like what you're seeing?" Darnel softly smiled with his deep husk sleepy voice , gently opening his blue eye meeting hers.
" Babi," the one behind the door , banged, pulling Babi from drowning in Darnel's eyes.
" Fuck ...get up " Babi hurriedly sat up , throwing the blanket off Darnel's body .
" Ba....
" I am up, Uncle Charles" Babi shouted interrupting Charles .
"Jeez...you never sleep in ""Charles said.
" meet us down at the farm " Charles added.
" Alright," Babi replied .
Babi was briefly paralyzed when Darnel, gently passed his hands around her waist , coiling himself around her .
Babi deeply inhaled, staring at his head resting besides her thighs , his eyes closed like he wanted to sleep more.
Hesitantly, Babi raised her hand , gently stretching it to his head. She unsurly buried her fingers in his messy hair .
" Umm..." Darnel groaned as Babi continued to stroke her fingers in his hair .
Babi deeply exhaled , getting comfortable with what she was doing . Her fingers gently slid from his hais to his ears .
Gently and playfully passing her finger tips on his ears. She then moved to the side of his face. Darnel turned his head looking up allowing her touch his face however way she pleased.
She passed her fingers around his eyebrows, sliding down to his nose bridge . Her eyes rested on his lips .
She held her breath , sliding down her fingers from the nose to just slightly above his lips .
Yarning to touch his lips, she hesitantly placed her thumb on both his lips . Darnel gasped, catching his breath . He parted his lips, softly exhaling through his mouth softly, funing her finger.
Babi was encouraged to gently feel his lower lip , swallowing hard. Darnel opened his eyes, staring up at his face , whose eyes were down on his lips .
Babi finally raised her eyes, meeting those of Darnel's. He pulled himself up sitting besides her and closely , their eyes locked in.
Darnel looked at her pulp lips , then back to her eyes . He wouldn't hide his temptation or the magnetic pull to extend closer and have a taste of her .
Darnel didn't hesitate, pushing his head a little closer inquisitively , only waiting for a go-ahead sign from Babi to do what he was desiring.
