"Since Director Finlay has already made his decision, he must be confident about the film," Alexander said. "There shouldn't be any problem."
Lina nodded thoughtfully.
"Do you think we have a chance of winning?"
She had thought about the question before asking.
"From every aspect, the film qualifies. The script is strong, the direction is excellent, and the cast has worked hard. But awards depend on more than that. The judges have their own tastes, and every festival has certain genres and styles it tends to appreciate. That's the biggest variable."
She paused.
"So I can't say for certain."
Alexander looked at her for a moment.
Then he leaned over and kissed her.
"You'll become the youngest Best Actress."
His expression was serious, but his eyes were gentle.
There was no teasing in his voice.
He wasn't saying it simply to make her happy.
He genuinely believed it.
Lina's heart softened.
