But time could not be turned back.
There was no way for Lina to return to the previous night and make different choices. Whatever embarrassment she felt now, the memories were already hers to keep.
"Aren't you getting stuffy under there?"
Alexander's voice suddenly came from beside her.
Lina immediately gripped the edge of the blanket more tightly.
She was afraid that if he pulled it away, she would have nowhere left to hide.
"I'm fine," she mumbled. "I'm not stuffy."
"Are you feeling uncomfortable anywhere?"
Lina's heart skipped.
"No. No, I'm fine."
Alexander studied her for a moment before nodding.
"If you feel unwell anywhere, tell me. Don't try to pretend you're fine just because you're embarrassed."
Lina's face heated beneath the blanket.
"I said I'm fine."
"I heard you."
His voice carried the faintest trace of amusement.
