Lina suddenly felt as though she had been caught committing a crime.
How was this any different from having a guilty conscience?
She absolutely could not let Alexander know what was going through her head.
If he realised she had been standing there thinking about the bedroom, the late hour and the meaning of her invitation, she would never be able to look him in the eye again.
She had only wanted him to come over because she had missed him. That was all.
At least, that was what she told herself.
Before Alexander could say anything else, Lina reached for his arm and pulled him inside.
"What did you bring?"
Alexander glanced down at the bag in his hand.
"Some late-night food."
He lifted it slightly.
"I asked your agent about your diet. She said you don't need to lose any weight at the moment, so I brought things that are filling without being too heavy."
Lina looked inside.
