The flashbulbs went off almost instantly.
For a moment, Lina couldn't see anything at all.
White light filled her vision one burst after another, the reporters outside calling her name from different directions while cameras continued clicking without pause.
Lina kept the smile she had practised countless times before and walked steadily towards the entrance.
She had learned long ago that the more chaotic the surroundings became, the calmer she needed to appear. There was no point trying to avoid every camera when half the people outside were already waiting for her to react to something.
She simply smiled, acknowledged the reporters without stopping, and made her way inside.
The moment the doors closed behind her, Lina finally breathed out.
She hadn't realised how tense her shoulders had become until then.
