Chapter 84 - The Truth Comes Out

Lina was afraid that Dixon would misunderstand the situation, so she forced a smile and tried to keep her voice as calm as possible.

"This is a public place. There are reporters outside, and everyone here knows the host of the banquet. Tonight, let's all try to be friendly and harmonious. There are too many people watching us. If either of you raises your voice or makes too much of a scene, everyone will look over."

The meaning behind her words was obvious.

Neither of them needed to start arguing here.

Not only would it be disrespectful to the host of the banquet, but there was also a large group of reporters waiting outside. If Lucien and Julian started fighting in the middle of the event, there was little chance the incident would remain private.

One photograph would be enough to create a dozen rumours.

Lucien and Julian were both shrewd enough to understand that.

The problem was that they had disliked each other for far too long.
