Lina initially thought the whole thing was absurd.
She stared at Alexander for several seconds, wondering whether he was deliberately teasing her or whether he genuinely believed that something strange had happened between their lips.
Yet the more she looked at him, the more serious she realised he seemed.
Alexander was not smiling.
His expression was calm and thoughtful, as though he were genuinely trying to solve a scientific mystery.
Lina suddenly felt that perhaps she had been too quick to dismiss the matter.
Maybe she really hadn't thought deeply enough.
If Alexander was approaching the question so seriously, then perhaps there was some reasonable explanation she hadn't considered.
She thought about it carefully.
"It's possible," she finally admitted. "But shouldn't static electricity be mutual? If you felt it, why didn't I?"
Alexander fell silent.
His brows drew together slightly.
