Lina finally breathed a sigh of relief.
At least Alexander wasn't angry.
After the brief but horrifying incident upstairs, she had already prepared herself for any number of possible reactions. She had accidentally kissed the corner of her employer's mouth, after all. It was the sort of situation that could make even the most experienced person want to disappear from the face of the earth.
Yet Alexander had not become angry.
He had not accused her of taking advantage of him.
He had not even asked her to leave.
Instead, he had calmly picked up the bowl of porridge she had made and tasted it as though nothing particularly unusual had happened.
Lina secretly decided that this was probably for the best.
