"Then wait for me a moment. I'll be eating right away."
Dixon said this while looking towards Lina, clearly intending to finish what remained on his plate before the others left.
"Take your time," he told her. "There is still some time before we start working."
Lina nodded, but despite his reassurance, she could not help speeding up.
She had already eaten enough for breakfast, and she did not want to keep Lucien and Dixon waiting for her. Besides, she still had several scenes to go through before filming began. Director Finlay was particular about preparation, and Lina did not want to arrive on set feeling unprepared.
Not long afterwards, she and Lucien put down their chopsticks at almost exactly the same time.
The three of them left the dining hall together.
